where did you check this?
Nice story that one
Amex US card do charge for an extra card, not Australian ones though
'Last time i checked they were charging a monthly fee for the extra card. Is that still the case?' I don't believe that you've checked at all.
Platinum Charge does have a fee for an additional cardholder once you exceed 4 I think, as I copped this once. So it does exist
It was under terms and conditions i think
Maybe it depends on the type of card? I think most are free - sure they will confirm over the phone
Per T&Cs: Only eligible for members enrolled in Membership Rewards. Appears to exclude the Qantas FF program.
Just applied one for my wife and got 5000 qantas points. Amex qantas ultimate card.

explicitly shows it
What is the best amex card with rewards points and $0/very low annual fees? TIA

I know its not $0/very low AF - it has a $395 AF but compensates with a $400 travel credit. And 240k bonus points is a steal.
The last time I took up this offer, they failed to send me the 5k points. After 3 calls and over 6 months later, I gave up.
I suppose if I opened the card with secondary cards I'm not eligible for this offer?
Presume you mean, primary card already with 1 or more supps (up to 4 are free)? I did, got the points.
Thanks for the info!
Applied for 4 supp cards and immediately got 20k bonus points.
What? 4 supp cards for the same primary or different primary?
Same primary card, seems to work multiple times not just on the first supp card. Get applying!
do they check the person actually exists or can i get my pets a card?
yes
yes they check?
@[Deactivated]: of course your supplementary card is ID checked.
@samehada: well to some extent. i applied for a sup card for a real person no ID required. i applied for an imaginary person they asked for ID. so they are doing some kind of data matching.
@[Deactivated]: they ID checked electronically with those credit reporting companies like Equifax. If the ID doesn't match then they will require you to provide ID.
If you provide the ID, i.e Driver Licence number when you apply then it will be checked with VicRoads/RTA… If that doesn't match i.e name order doesn't match i.e First name/Middle name… doesn't match then they will call you to get the ID number to try again.
Thanks OP. I completely forgot about this but just added a new supp card and got 5k points straightaway. I can still have 1 more supp on my card (for free)….will do that in a couple of days….
did you get another 5 k for adding 1 more supp on your card? i got it on one account but the others i got nothing maybe its because i have more than 4 supplementary cards on those accounts already? ill have to case them up next week after cards arrive.
yes, I got 5000 x 2 points.
thanks i think you got lucky. i enquired via chat why i hadnt the received the extra 5k for the others accounts on which i added more than 1 card, they said terms were just for the first card.
@coolsteps: I received 5,000 x 3.
I still have got my 5000 points yet. I think I applied for my first supplementary card just a few days after this promo started. I've got the Qantas ultimate
same here, still waiting
apparently, the terms for bonus points credit were 8-10 weeks from approval…same here, still waiting.
Last time i checked they were charging a monthly fee for the extra card. Is that still the case?
