That is a great deal, but I can't shop at HN on principle.

Anyone know if it's easy to upgrade the ram in this or do you need a PhD and have to disassemble the entire thing into its components just to get to the ram slots.

    RAM size kills the deal.Nope

    Display res sucks

Look at the good guys lenovo slim

Better specs and aesthetic for not much more

    • Wow no kidding I was just sharing what I thought was a better buy around the same price point

    Screen Definition Full High Definition
    Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080

    1080p sucks now?

  • Isn't this a bit too expensive for dGPU-less laptop? Is it a thin-and-light?

    • 11th gen has Intel XE discrete gpu, so up to 4gb vram

      1 USB 3.2 Gen 1 • 1 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C

this however is a show stopper

you cant charge off type c on this… only old Lenovo barrel

Disappointing screen. Most 6" phones have more pixels

    • You are not going to find a higher resolution screen in the sub $1000 price range, you generally need to spend another $500 to get a higher resolution screen on a notebook.

In any case, full HD is quite usable on this size, and certainly a lot more usable than the 1366x768 that was commonplace up until last year.

      • I got my surface laptop for 1100 on special. I can't go to FHD, let alone this pixel size.
Everything else is so awesome, why are screens always crap?

        • May Ipls ask which surface and from where did u get it for 1100?

    • Higher res means quicker battery drain. This factor annoys me so much that I will be dropping to HD for my replacement.
