Increased Referral Bonus of US$50 Worth of SG (Crypto) @ SocialGood App

520

Just had this pop into my email after signed up for the previous deal. Still haven't tried them myself, but saw some people used previous deals just fine.

Details taken from here: https://socialgood.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/90000304576… (URL says April 8th 25 USD but it's actually October 12th 50 USD)

The SocialGood Team is pleased to announce that we now offer 50 USD worth of SocialGood (SG) for each new referral made by sharing their invitation code via the SocialGood App. New users (Invitees) who sign up for the SocialGood App and spend at least 30 USD will also receive 50 USD worth of SocialGood.

Advantages for Inviter: You can get 50 USD worth of SG for each new active user. An active user is defined as a user who has made purchases totaling 30 USD or more at any of the over 1,800 large online stores while using the SocialGood App.

*All purchases totaling 30 USD must be completed within 30 days after registering to receive 50 USD worth of SG.

*Users who sign up via the Referral Program are not eligible to receive Sign up Bonus.

I have used social good quite a bit, especially during their 100% ebay promotion.
No hassles, it does take about two months to receive the crypto though.

The only issue is the gas fees for selling the SG is quite high at the moment

    • Have you only seen one 100% promotion? Wouldn't mind waiting to get in on that.

      • They have quite a few 100% available with stores right now, AliExpress and Banggood are notable ones.
On their app you can sort by percentage back.

SG coin value is 45% Down in last 24 hours

      https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/socialgood

      • The price going down is the best time to buy.

    • +1

… there's no gas fees if you open a bitmart account, and then withdraw from the SG app to that address. Anyone who bought at 60c could have gotten a nice pump to $1 or so, previous one was around a 10x from .30c to $3…. You can just keep recycling your cash back till you get a good token price to exit.

      • Good to know! Thanks

  • Does this deal stack with the previous one?:

This deal is just an increased referral code, so yes I'd fully expect it to work.

  • I signed up and receive US30 worth of SG.

Do I need to spend US30 to get USD50?

    • Honestly not sure. I only just noticed I got $30 USD instantly instead of $50 USD when I spend $30.

Their post says "New users (Invitees) who sign up for the SocialGood App and spend at least 30 USD will also receive 50 USD worth of SocialGood."

I used these guys when they were running 100% cash back on eBay. The coin price was $0.50 then and has now settled around $1 so I’ve made a profit of what I spent. At one point it hit $2.50 before the cash back was approved for withdrawal.

Definitely beats normal cash back, even with it only being 50% cash back at the moment.

    • +2

I think it's still 100% at AliExpress and a few other shops

      • At the bottom of their site it still says "100% back on all eBay purchases". Not the case?

        • +1

I believe it's now at 50% according to the app

          • @jruderwier: Have you used their service before? There is just so little online (not even and Reddit discussions or scam-watches about Social Good), it comes across as very scammy. If it worked I'd be selling straight to BTC and not holding this coin. If I can get some 100% back purchases until it comes crashing down I guess I'm happy.

Just a note on the coin, I don't see how it is supposed to hold any value unless they add ways to use it. At the moment it can only be sold or staked, it has no use other than receiving the cashback. Yes, the company would be making a small amount of money from the website referals and giving out this token they minted essentially for free, I can't see the long-term prospects.

How does the cashback work, do you deposit into their app and pay through the app, or just use their app like Shopback that uses cookies for referrals and you pay outside the app?

            • @honest-immortal: I've been using it since about March this year.
I've had no complaints whatsoever, except that it does take a little while for the crypto to become available.
You access whichever shop you're using, through their app. So, if you're buying on ebay, you use the social good app and it directs you to ebay

              • @jruderwier: Great, thanks for the info. I suppose I'll give it a try if I don't actually have to add funds to the app to make purchases. I'm guessing I'll still need to KYC but not the worse compromise.

I still stand by the fact I can't see a future for the project, but will make money back from it while I can hah.

Crypto market summed up for the most part when it comes to all the coins with no future that are still pumping.

  • Only received US$30 worth after signing up with referral code? I mean better than nothing, but not $50. Am I missing something?

    • Don't you only get $30 and the person who referred you gets $50?

      • Haha i need to learn to read

      • Honestly not sure. I only just noticed I got $30 USD instantly instead of $50 USD when I spend $30.

Their post says "New users (Invitees) who sign up for the SocialGood App and spend at least 30 USD will also receive 50 USD worth of SocialGood."

        • So after spending $30USD we should get another $20USD?

    • The wording is certainly confusing, lol

  • +4

This is a recipe for disaster. SG should not be it's own token. Nothing says 'social good' like launching your own cryptocurrency for maximum gainz.

  • Where can sell the coins?

  • Signed up using referral and got 50 SG equivalent to USD30 credited instantly. The amount is in pending status though.

  • Why did the price of SocialGood (SG) tank today?

    • Basically all crypto is in the red fwiw.

      • +1

        Buy the dip

    • Because they minted 1.4mil coins (there were previously only 700k coins).

I just posted this comment to someone else but want to continue the disucssion.

      Absolutely agree with this.

    • +4

I'd say still worth it if you're going to buy something anyway but avoid overspending just relying on cashback.

Worth risking for ebay as it's 50% on SG vs 1% cashback from competition. Worst case you loose that 1% profit.

      • That's true, I'm going to give it a try and see how it goes.

  • I've been using Social Good for the last 3 months. I made purchases through ebay, AbeBooks and AliExpress and got the rewards. Almost all of my previous rewards have now been approved and I'm just leaving the SG tokens on the app to get further staked rewards.

I'm gonna do some more shopping with their app this week as the SG token has come down in price a lot the last week, so the rewards are better value if the price of SG rises again in future (note it is volatile like most crypto).

    • how long for an eBay purchase to be approved?

      • +1

The most recent eBay purchase I did, it took about 6 weeks to get approved.

    • Did you use any coupon codes?

  • so do we get $30 or $50usd? not going to bother if it's $30

  • I use Trust Wallet and don't think it can connect it to SG?

Pretty sure only Metamask is supported. Definitely can't stake without Metamask

So basically, I have got a heap of SG from Ebay purchases (somewhere… no idea how this works without a wallet even connected).

    • Install the MM extension on Brave. Use the seed words to restore the wallet.

Watch YT on how to DIY.

      • Do you have a link. I couldn't find anything related? Cheers

Tried this out of pure curiosity. Signed up with Google and immediately got around 53SG 'pending'. Made a 100USD purchase on Aliexpress and it tracked in 10min or so. You have to purchase through the in-app browser. Make sure to use a saved credit card, and change your password if you want to be sure they don't have access to your data.

Now the interesting part is their supposed market rate which is 1SG = 1USD. On Coingecko you can see this is way off, it's worth around 0.6USD right now, and liquidity on the single exchange is questionable. Will be interesting to see what the cashout process is like in a month or so. Whole concept doesn't make sense but hey nothing to lose.

    • +2

You earn cryptoback based on the average rate over the last 7 days which is why you earned SG at the 1SG=1USD rate.

      • Thanks, good to know. I'll be happy to get 25% at the end of this so guess that's alright.

    • If you want to play it safe, don't use a password - use a one time code from ebay (click having trouble signing in). OTC are only valid once anyway; I don't punch my password in and use a saved credit card.

    • I made an AliExpress purchase but can’t seem to find where in the SocialGood app the purchase is being tracked. Would you happen to know where this is on the SG app?

      • +1

You should get a notification or email confirmation (took 10min for first one, couple of hours for second for me). Then SG should be pending in the Assets tab.

        • Hmm, I made my AliExpress purchase a couple of hours ago but did not receive any notification or email confirmation yet.

Can I ask does the notification or email confirmation specifically says you had made a purchase at AliExpress?

          • +1

@ilovefullprice: Edit: I finally got an app notification for my AliExpress purchase after about 4+ hours. Cashback in SG tokens have now also been tracked within the app.

  • +1

Does anybody know how long cashbacks usually take to confirm?

    • eBay is on the 1st of 2nd following month. EG on the 1st of october, I got all my August cashback; up to the 31st August. September purchases via eBay are due 1st November.

    • +2

It normally takes about a day to confirm, and final approval takes a few months. This is in case you cancel the order or return the item. For example, one order I had got cancelled by the shop cause they were out of stock, I originally got the SG tokens but then the tokens were withdrawn before they got approved. The SG tokens need to be approved before you can withdraw it or stake it.

  • Anyone know where to see what the average rate of SG per USD over the previous 7 days will be? I want to make sure I know the rate I will get before I make a purchase.

    • Assets tab > market value

      • "Market rate" just shows the current live market rate right?

        • It's been hovering around the 1usd area for the last little while from memory.

  • I have been using a bit earlier this year. Just a note for those that use this you get the SG tokens at the value when they track your spending. By the time you can withdraw it may have gone up or down in value. I have just withdrawn mine to Bittrex and are waiting for the value to go back up before selling and transferring to another exchange to get cash.

Gotten about $600 back. Also used zippay to generate single use credit cards to pay and this still qualifies. People buy stuff like gold and then sell it and rebuy to accumulate SG. Bullion is excluded now, but other gold is okay. Recommend recording big purchases with another phone in case it doesn't track. SG foundation is backed by a Japanese billionaire and has endorsements from the Tokyo business fund and the Tokyo mayor. People bad mouth it, but it is the best cashback program I have found. There is also a referral contest now for each social media.

    • +1

How long did it take for your aliexpress and ebay cashback to be approved?

      • about sixty days.

  • Just wondering do they still track the purchase on Ebay if you use afterpay or paypal? Not sure if I want to key in the credit card numbers using their app.
Also if you use 20% off code on Dell ebay does SG track the purchase?

    • PayPal yes.
I used crypto.com card in my paypal to pay and tracked, but pending to be approved

      • Paypal worked for me. Not sure about afterpay as I got an error when trying to pay with it.

        • Some people said it works and counts, but you may encounter problem while trying to make the payment

  • +2

Will using ebay codes or gift cards void cashback? and also aliexpress codes?

    • Most of my ebay purchases are done with codes and all track and payout. Gift cards would probably void it though.
I'm using ebay only - no aliexpress though so cant confirm aliexpress codes.

      • +1

Buying gift cards are 0 cash back.

But if you pay with eBay gift card should be fine, but to be safe I'd pay with paypal+credit card instead, unless its confirmed say you pay with eBay gift card is ok

  • How difficult is it to get that $50 value out of SG?

    • +1

Sell the SG coin on an exchange (bitmart for example) for either USD or BTC and then transfer it to an exchange that offers AUD withdrawals.

I've cashed out a little over $25k AUD so far and have about 40,000 coins pending due for approval on 1st Dec and 1st Jan.

      • How did you manage to get so many coins?

        • +1

I spend a lot on eBay which has a 50% return on purchases at the moment (+/-). My spend in November was $108k

      • Why not just sell SG for AUD on Bitmart? or SG for USDT for AUD? Or there's no trading pair?

        • Bitmart trading pairs are SG/USDT or SG/BTC. I used SG to USDT and then move the USDT to swfytx for usdt to aud conversion.

Bitmart only allow selling to EUR USDT or GBP fiat from what I understand.

  • For eBay purchase, says special promotion and some coupon code are not qualify, but doesn't list what exactly
    like PLUSSANT

    • +1

I am yet to have a coupon code not work on eBay purchases. > $165k AUD worth of purchases tracked (well more than that - last month was $108k+). A goood chunk of them using ebay plus coupons.

      • +1

Out of interest, what do you buy?

        • I think a better question might be… what did you sell? 😉
