Considering the size of the box this comes in (and associated postage cost), I don't think they're making much money off this deal. Good price but I must resist buying another….
This is a better price, it doesn't come with the extra ammo belt and shoulder strap like the non 'clear' version.

I've used it before and everything that's said in the reviews is true.
Got the original yellow/orange one and find it quite horrible to use, always jams up, annoying to reload, don't want to waste money on spare belts. But damn does it look cool! The clear version will look even better as a display piece of my shelf of nerdery, cheers for the heads up.
I have the clear one, has never got stuck on me. Its a skill that needs to be learnt loading the rounds into the belt tight enough and then laying the belt correctly in the ammo box. It makes me feel like Sascha the Heavy in Team Fortress carrying it around.

I think I prefer the the thicker white or black plastic ones rather than the clear thinner plastic.
Anyone have experience with either or both?

Edit: Also does any1 know if you get the 2xAA to D converter. Can you just put in 1 AA and it will still work?
I got 2AA to D converters off eBay, they look almost identical to the DX ones above, they work as intended but to be honest I haven't used them much so I don't know how well the plastic would hold up with repeated use. For the cost, just buy another set when they break.
I'm pretty sure 1 AA will work, they had ridges inside to hold them somewhat in place.

Sealed Lead Acid Battery is another option, here's a big one crammed into a Stampede battery tray. They come in also sorts of sizes(capacities) so finding one for a Vulcan shouldn't be hard.

It was in stock, it was an online special with free delivery. They sold out quickly so they let you check stock levels of the stores in case there is still some left.
I've reported it as sold out to the mods so they can update the heading. that should avoid the recent confusion above.

Got mine, and found that 4xAA NiMH works fine, surprisingly.
The 4xAA holder fits easily in the 6xD holder, and I crimped a couple of wires between the terminals.
You might get a higher fire-rate with 6 or 8 cells, and would just need to put a couple of AA holders in series, to fit without having to cut the plastic. Why on earth did they design these for D-cells instead of rechargables?Great fun! For my son, I mean.
