TP-Link Archer MR600 4G LTE-Advanced Router $159 (Was $269) + Delivery ($0 to Metro Areas/ C&C) @ Officeworks

160

Seems like a great price for this calibre of 4G router, been eyeing off the price for a while and just bought one for myself. Appears to be the cheapest price available for this router at the moment by a good $50+

Free click n collect and free delivery (metro areas only)

Enjoy!

  • This seems to be a2 year-old model. Maybe Huawei B818 is better than that?

    https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-modems-routers/b818/k0c21110r20…

    • The B818 is definitely better (Well… much faster speeds are possible being Cat 19 LTE vs Cat 6), but you’d be hard pressed finding a new B818 anywhere near this kind of money. The people who’ve got them know what they’re worth lol!

      • I got a preowned one from FB marketplace before.

Insert Telstra SIM and it is a beast. With medium signal, it can reach over 70-80mbps download and 20mbps upload. I reckon the router does not sweat at all in this situation.

      • And people who don’t sell them for $60 on marketplace haha

        • Find me this seller! Haha

          • @jackary: I’ve seen 4 go in Brisbane in the last 6 weeks around this price they don’t know it’s an 818’s or the value

        • +1

I grabbed it for $100. Not regret at all. Happened to see it a few times before but always too late to be told pending pickup.

  • not a bad price - I paid 159 for MR400 few weeks ago..

  • waiting 5G

  • paid the same price for TL-MR6400 v5 . works fine.

how fast you can get on 4G + download?

    • I have v1, however missus has issue with Palo Alto global connect vpn with Telstra, but no issue with iPhone tethering

  • I have an old Huawei B593 running a vodafone sim and can get 50-70mbps. I have seen it past 80 and it is has been running perfectly for at least 4 or 5 years. I have a B818 on the way, not sure it will get much faster but the setup I have now has a wifi unit that I can then do away with.

      I went from a 525 at 120mbit to 818 at 385mbit

    • +2

I have a b525 and was getting about 30mbit down, but on the strength of some of the comments in this thread I bought a B818 from marketplace for $70 and now getting 120mbits down -very happy with that. Hope you have a similar improvement gdozbargain.

  • Where do you guys guys use this? Is it primarily used in non NBN coverage arrears?

I haven't seen any unlimited 4G data plan to substitute NBN except the Optus 5G internet

    • +1

The majority of people don't need an unlimited data plan.

If you don't then 4G can be cheaper with faster speeds than NBN depending on your location.

      • Update: I believe TPG Vodafone now have NBN alterative 4G plans with unlimited date

        • +2

I have a vodafone plan using the second sim for the modem. It is 500gb per mth at full speed (that data is enough for me) but it is also unlimited and reverts to 25mbps when that data is exhausted. It is faster than most NBN plans and cheaper and very reliable except in a blackout as the tower goes down also.

          • @gdozbargain: How much are you paying?

Just to confirm 500GB at full speed and unlimited @ 20mbps

            • @utsc: Confirmed but at 25 drop down speed, but I have never hit the 500g limit to see it happen. The plan is a $120 + second sim. I took up a special offer which gave more data and discount. You need to be very close to a tower to get the high (70 Mbps) speeds.

              • @gdozbargain: How would your deal be cheaper than NBN? On average NBN 50 cost $70

I was referring to this plan from TPG but Optus also has a similar plan
                https://www.tpg.com.au/5g-home-broadband

                • @utsc: That link plan seems good if it is reliable and fast. Mine is $75 total but that also includes my phone plan.

                  • @gdozbargain: My understanding is that TPG uses Vodafone AU network

    • I just signed up to Felix for $35 a month on the Vodafone 4G network. Unlimited data. They have a promo of half price for the first three months

  • Does anyone know if this is a V1 or V2 unit?

On the OW product page the first three pics indicate it’s a V1 unit, while the third and fourth indicate it’s a V2 unit.

Besides phoning customer service or the nearest store can the rep confirm?

    • +1

Hi, I just had a look at the box and what I purchased is a Version 2.0 unit.

      • Same for me…

  • I got one, let hope it works well :)
    Thanks for publishing this deal.

  • I changed my store to Darwin and it says no stock in store. Delivery says unavailable. Guess the Darwin store has no stock so I can't get delivery either. We only have one store here. Delivery was going to be $25.95!

  • back to $255

    • Thanks, marked as expired.
