Going by previous pricing on CCC this is not a bargain.

    • what were the prices before?

      • +3

If you click the Camel Camel Camel banner just below the post, you see a graph with the historic pricing. It’s been as low as $6.99 this year.

          • +2

@homemartozb2021: @gamemaster appears to be correct. CCC shows them selling for $6.99 in January 2021 and at or below your "bargain" price for 6 months from September 2020. So they're only cheaper than recent pricing.

@bean_counter: that might be a promotion activity from AMZ only.

              • +10

@homemartozb2021: We don't really care about who's promoting them - as long as it's a good deal and we get what we pay for without any issues e.g. no delays etc. So your deal is not much of a deal IMHO.

        • thanks

Awesome, for some reason I've never seen the ccc underneath and have always gone there and done a manual search! Thanks for the tip!

Yeah and shame to these dodgy/shameless plug posts not doing basic ozb checks!

@Kammi: OzBargains like many is a favourite, frequently visited website. But I feel it’s fast becoming a thick catalogue where you need to sort through the posts to find a bargain. The irony is OzB was originally seen as a website which filtered the bargains from the rest of the sales and marketing on the internet.

There is, IMO, too many Associated deals which flood the site with essentially advertising. Maybe the onus should be on the Associate to prove they have the cheapest price and if not the deal should not be published?

@Kammi: OMG. Mind blown. Now I'm wondering how I never saw it.

These look painful but cheaper than sexyland

    These any good or chinesium

  • Would these cut through Stainless Steel?

    • +3

Considering the price I highly doubt it.

      • Fair call!

      • +1

        Maybe once, if it's thin.

    • i reckon they would with a bit of oil and slow speed and pressure

      • Depends on their hardness and their post forging treatment. If they're softer than the steel, it ain't happening. Not even half reliably anyway.
