  • Thanks OP, bought one, my Cole mobile expire on 9-Nov-21 .

  • Arrrggghhh bugger!

I just bought a MEDIUM plan on the weekend.
I haven’t activated yet, so I have contacted their customer service to see if I can cancel that order No replace with this plan!

    • +1

OK, spoke to the helpful CSR at Koganmobile who cancelled my previous order, so I’m definitely grabbing this deal!

  • Does anyone know how long will it take for the SIM to get delivered?

    • Typically no more than a few days, but depends on Auspost delivery delays

    • you can buy it at selected servos listed on the website for 2 bucks if you can't wait, took mine less than a week

  • I'll go with Boost or even Aldi. Reliable and fast services.

  • Can’t log on to their site….looks like server is overloaded.
Wonder what other deals they may have had…..hmmmm

  • If they have the SMALL 365-day pack 50% as well, I'll jump in.

  • Anyone recall how many days is required before porting back to Kogan?
Edit: Also there is a choice now between data being available all at once or monthly. Is this new or has anyone opted for the monthly option before?

  • My wife and I have been using Kogan 365 day plans for a few years. Never had a problem and I haven't been able to find a better deal. Only thing to look out for is the voucher kicks in from the moment you apply it (so if you still have a couple of months left on your old Kogan credit you will lose it).

  • Anyone know if I can use an Apple Watch (with eSIM) in conjunction with this?
Last I checked, it was only the main 3 that let you share your number to an eSIM on apple watch, but that it was changing.

  • Do supermarkets still sell Kogan Giftcard? would prefer to pay with Giftcards

    • +1

I was unable to pay using a Gift Card today. YMMV.

      • Oh serious.. thanks for that! I probably wouldn't risk it now

        • Yeah, I couldn't see anywhere to enter a Gift card.

          • +2

@Luo18740: You redeem the gift card on your account first.

            • @cwongtech: D'oh. I did have some credit left on an old gift card, but it is on my other Kogan Account.

  • +2

If you don't take this deal, don't worry too much about it.
They always have a very good deal every December. I've been renewing my prepaid every early Jan.

  • Thanks op just just brought one as mine expires the 19-10-2021 just in time :)

Never had a issue with them and it’s been 3 yrs happy with the reception in my area

  • vodafone 365 days prepaid plan remove international calls now. what a shame.

I will buy either kogan or vodafone if they include international calls.

I hate to port to Boost as I have slower speed with Boost but they offer overseas calls…

  • -3

I find it surprising in todays day and age with WhatsApp etc people still need overseas calls…

    • Then you haven't thought it through.

    • Not everyone uses 3rd party calling apps. Like the elderly, they may use only feature phones.

    • I don't want to install WhatsApp on my phone so no thank you. I prefer having international calls.

  • Would they roll-over the remaining data to next month cycle if I choose 21GB per 30 days?

    • Nope. You better get the other option.

  • You might as well get the Vodafone 250Gb plan for $150 from Woolies this week to get volte a d 5g access.

    • 150GB. So you’d better buy from OW as it has 200GB.

      • Correct. I stand corrected.

  • This has been $205 ish for the last 5 years or so. Maybe Kogan playing games and going to raise price to $270?

    • You're thinking of the Medium plan at that price. I normally get the Medium plan and that's gone down to $175 now.

      • Yes, you're correct. Thanks.

  • Isn't this deal better https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/652608? $8 per month for 48GB

    • postpaid, require credit check, may have billing issue.

    • Circles Life is Optus network
      Kogan Mobile is Vodafone network

Depending where people live, some might be in brilliant vodafone coverage where Optus are so poor in the area.

  • Son of a…!

My plan was due to expire yesterday so had to renew then.

  • +1

I've been using kogan for last few years and I've come across very little issues. Quite happy with it

  • Thanks OP, this is a good option for a Catch Connect 365 day SIM about to expire. VF better in our area anyway, and call quality on VF on par with Telstra (and both better than Optus). What is it about Optus and its poor implementation of cross-network HD voice?

  • Did anyone not receive a confirmation email after purchasing? I purchased without an account and no reply from Kogan yet.

    • Check your junk

  • +2

I just redeemed my voucher today and got an additional 50GBs ontop of that so in total 300GBs. Anyone know why that happened?

    • +2

      Same here. 300GB

    • +1

I got 300GB too. Maybe cos they are giving 50GB bonus for the small plan now?

  • great deal…
anyone know if you can add on to an existing account - only bought a small one two months ago and have 10 months to go

    • +2

No, it cannibalises any existing plan's remaining time unfortunately :(

    • +1

I bought one of these for my son….I had him on a Kogan "small" plan since March this year. I found this via Google:
      https://help.koganmobile.com.au/hc/en-au/articles/3600000278…

So i recharged using his new voucher code, and he's moved to this new 25gb a month Large plan. Then i went to fill in the form linked on that page, and the form is a mess, it seems to have sections that shouldn't appear unless you check certain boxes there anyway, like asking what NBN device you use…erk. So i just rang Kogan and told them i'd upgraded the account, they organised a refund back to my credit card for the unused portion of the previous plan.

I'm still pinching myself…needed to find a plan as I'm transferring off a corporate Vodafone SIM (leaving the job). Bought this, chose the option for 21gb a month rather than 250gb up front and just activated today, …the app says I have 25,600MB left for the month…so it seems to have given me 25gb instead of 21? Either way, $11 a month for 20'odd gigabytes of data an unlimited calls/text/MMS. Bloody cheap.

    • +1

So looks like monthly ones got a bonus as well. I got 300GB instead of 250.
