  • "Sorry, we hit a snag!"

  • Doesn't seem to be on Bunnings website anymore, might be holding the new stock to fill existing orders

    • yep they do tend to do this when this model (and similar replacement models) are exhausted.

webpages for specific items will come back up when they restock / fulfil existing orders

no stock at Scoresby on Saturday, 14 in Stock tonight 13 left at 6:30PM 😀 note the $75 price tag had been removed and doesn't seem to be on the website anymore so I asked for a price check and it scanned at $75 so I bought 1 thanks OP

    • iand, did you order & pay over the phone?

      • I'm trade so I was in store to buy something I needed for today and thought while I'm here I'll have a look

  • I got mine delivered from Sunshine, VIC.
    But looks defective.

The drill with a drill bit or a driver bit wobbles a lot on this model.
Check these 2 videos I shot.

    https://youtube.com/shorts/Zht8O-9BP84
    https://youtu.be/KEe5VBjXBQw

    • Its pretty common to have runout on the drill chuck, especially on cheap and cheerful drills. I wouldnt be expecting too much from it lol!

    • And the small drill bit you have there could not be all that straight either.

    • Chuck looks straight enough to me.
Drill bit diameter looks too small.
A trick I use for very small diameter drill bits is to wrap duct tape around it to give the chuck something to get hold of.

I have found this to be a surprisingly good drill, for the small amount of work I've done with it, in the week since I picked it up.
(Un)fortunately it came on special just after I completed a big job at home, where I have made one of my cheap Ozito drills very tired.

      • Sure will give that a try. Thank you.
The 2nd video is with a screwr driver bit extension. It's fine in Gear 2 but starts wobbling in Gear 1.

      • A trick I use for very small diameter drill bits is to wrap duct tape around it to give the chuck something to get hold of

Isn't that just going to introduce more variation into the drill bit unless you can wrap it perfectly symmetrically and all that stuff?

        • Yes.

  • Bunning just refunded me 3rd time. Looks like i won't be able to buy a drill this time around.

    • You know the drill 🙃

      • Is there a drill? :|

  • Can you ask Bunnings for a rain check? Never did before.

  • Hi all, can you recommend a drill set for using with this hammer drill? I am looking at this one:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Bosch-V-Line-Titanium-Screwdriver-…

However, it looks the above item comes with another electric screw driver?

    or something like this:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Bosch-V-Line-Titanium-Screwdriver-…

If you have any recommendation from Bunnings, please let me know as well. The one which can replace the manual screw driver is must. The screw bit will be used most.

    Thanks

Good consumer grade from bunnings are Sutton and German made Kango

Best trade quality drill bits are Guhring, they are available in sets too.

      • Thanks, but do you think that the drill bit set from Amazon au link above has better value?

        • Better in terms you have a size ready to drill when you need it. But I found for most projects I have replaced the Bosch bits with better quality ones.

Wood bits are OK, lasted few projects.

Metal bits are sub standard, and I use it to drill timber. Blunts too quickly. Since bought guhring set for steel.

Masonry too are sub standard. Drilled too slow Bought some Sutton to do drill brick for various projects.

Really was the case of poor man buys twice with drill bits…

    • However, it looks the above item comes with another electric screw driver?

That's a ratcheting screwdriver. Quite handy since I didn't have one yet (but plenty of other usual freebie screwdrivers).

If you can wait just for a special on those combo drill bit sets which is usually a Ryobi set that they discount. Heck I bought up one box each of the cheap Aldi ones, mainly for the cases to replace bits as they break. They can last a few basic projects like if it's all pine or just drilling into your studs to hang something, enough for the next special on drill bits depending how many I wreck or wear out. I treat them as a consumable basically.

Bunnings cannot fulfill my order despite accepted and fully paid with delivery 7 days ago. They want to replace with PXIDK-200 model, that not brushless, only 1 battery old model and full price is $109. Going to cancel my purchase. Very disappointed.

    • But your son won't be able to tell if it's brushless when he is using it so the substitute model is perfectly fine.

  • Got mine delivered today after putting in an order on 22nd Sept.

Not bad quality for the price - perfect starter kit for my son :)

Deal hasn't expired, ordering still available by phoning customer service.

Just picked up 1 from Bunnings Pakenham, apparently they have had a resupply and have quite a few in stock at of closing tonight.

My online order was sent to Clyde for delivery, as they have no stock they cancelled and refunded my order.
They said Pakenham had stock, so after speaking to a staff member at Pakenham they confirmed they had plenty.
As the item isn't online anymore I was advised to call their online team who were happy to put through a phone order for click and collect, which I did a few hours later (tonight as they closed).

For anyone who has had a cancelled order call their online team who can advise which stores have had a resupply and will pop thru a phone order.

Bit of a funny weird thing thou, has anyone else's drill have the brushless sticker on the back upside down?
    Mines upside down….

    • The item itself isn't showing up on the website - what did you say to customer service to get the deal?

        • They delivered PXBHS-100 instead. I placed an online order.

          • @nsavi: Did that supply batteries separately?

            • @[Deactivated]: Yes 2 of them

              • @nsavi: You've done well!

                • @[Deactivated]: You're saying that because that was a skin only model?

                  • @nsavi: Yeah, instead of cancelling your order, they fulfilled it with separate products.

      • What is the customer service line?

        • It's the number you call when you wish to speak to a customer service representative.

  • Bought one from the Brendale store yesterday. Went to the same store a couple of hours ago and there was still one left.

  • I just got one from the Joondalup W.A. store. Looks like they've restocked. There were another 4 left.

  • Bunnings are dodgy

    Ordered via Click n Collect

Order confirmed and my credit card charged

Went in to collect and they said oops, we are out of stock and you will be refunded … WTF

    • +1

My click and collect orders were cancelled twice even after I called and confirmed there were stock available. I suspect that they were given to someone who ordered for delivery.

To Andy99, yea man, also you risked your life and your family's life too trying to get a cheap drill at Bunnings even though it's click and collect….still increasing your chance of catching Covid, flu, rabies etc. Sometimes it's better to just wait for order confirmation and pickup email before you go. Remember, pickup time allocation email is not the same as order confirmation email. Don't try to beat the system. You started to panic, what if it's all gone, what if it's Ozbargained, what if all the staff buy it to resell, your mind started racing and you became obsessed with getting it. You started seeing the Ozbargain upvotes on the deal increasing, sweat started dripping off your forehead, you knew that you couldn't miss out, you panicked again and thought…bugger the pickup email date and time confirmation. You just went…hoping the staff there would do you a solid and grab one that was pre-sold or waiting to be delivered to someone else. You freaked out man and in that freak out, you got bum tickled. You did all that hard work, lost so much of your life's minutes, car engine damage due to cold start, wearing out your car's tyre driving down to Bunnings, using petrol, etc etc….just to be sent back home with nothing. Also increasing your chance of possibly getting very sick or even death, all for a cheap low quality drill. This non deal has cost you a lot more than you think man, we feel for you and your family. Just remember, never freak out man, never.

Love all your assumptions but did you really need to write an essay of diatribe dribble
… maybe write a book as you sound like an anti-vaxer … or maybe a Karen
You have way too much spare time on your hands and need to get a life

I received an order confirmation email and pickup email so went in to collect. It was 6 days from placing order to going in, so no I was not in a hurry or rush but hey you have a wild if not dumb imagination

Will let you go to the keeper

upvoted for making me literally LOL more than twice.

love your work! and don't listen to the naysayers - you keep doing you!

Regional WA store near me was apparently just restocked today.

My click and collect order was cancelled and refunded a few days ago. They then contacted me this morning to say more stock had arrived and they've put one aside for me if I still want it, just went and picked it up.

The promotional price tag on the shelf in store says the deal ends today.

    • which store(s)?

After a lifetime of work in the NSW Housing Industry [Qualified Electrical Contractor and Supervisor] my opinion is that it can be difficult seeking/stating opinions on a public platform about which tool brand is best. I've had most if not all over the years [well chronologically = Skil 7.2v Basic, B & D 12v, Panasonic + Torque Settings 12v, DeWalt + Hammer 14.4v, Makita 12v, Metabo + Hammer 15.6v, Panasonic + Torque Settings 15.6v, AEG 14.4v, Panasonic 15.6v + Torque Settings, Panasonic 14.4v Lithium + Torque Settings, and Hitachi 18v NiCad.

Unequivocally, the Panasonic 12v NiCad was the best of them all…beautifully balanced, weight was easy enough to handle all day and terrific cause I could start a genny for a few minutes run time and get high percentage of charge in the battery.

    B & D 12v,,,nah!
DeWalt 14.4v was brand new kit in box from a shady Pawn Shop…badly balanced, battery life was poor, and as I found out later…bushed not bearings internally; cheap crap!
Makita 12v, bought used as a stop gap measure [cause all the Chippies raved how good Makita were (they weren't!)] sold it quick
Metabo 15.6v paid big $$ for the kit with 2 batteries, wasn't great, sold it as a used item once I took delivery of the Panasonic 15.6v
Panasonic 15.6v NiMH + Torque Settings terrific drill, great battery life, they were NiMH type and quick charge suitable, just as well balanced as the 12v, but seemed a lot heavier!
AEG 14.4v bought a full set, double batteries in a boxed kit. charged both batteries overnight, took it onsite next day to rough-in a house - returned to Bunnings next day
Panasonic 15.6v NiMH + Torque Settings bought 2nd kit from USA on fleabay once I knew batteries in 1st unit were gone, cheaper importing whole new kit from USA than buying batteries locally
Panasonic 14.4v Lithium + Torque Settings ** almost as good as the Panasonic 12v + Torque Settings bought it 2009? still have it and use it even now…though been retired for over a decade still gets used often!
Hitachi 18V NiCad was new old stock kit, bought it cheap but soon found out it was too heavy for regular use on PCs sold it at a profit
Ryobi 12v bought as a cheepie from Bunning when on Special [$29] about 15 months ago no kit but charger and 2 batteries…still going OK bought mostly as it is compact and main use was to be refurbishing computers…does it great, easy to handle and work with…

    • Still have all 3 Panasonic in original kit boxes and they still work! Yes, for sure they do need new batteries [cause a charge doesn't last for too long…]but they were quality units and still are…

Don't believe Chippies who swear by Makitas, nor Plumbers for that matter…but being able to charge batteries on the Generator…BIG BONUS POINTS!!

    • +4

Yes yes, but what about Ozito?

      • weren't around in my Trade days…Bunnings was a nothing then…just taken over Hardwarehouse from memory…semi-retired in 2008…

  • Finally arrived yesterday. Ordered at the time this post was made. Shipped from bunnings 3 suburbs away. Lol!

I am impressed with the quality for the price. Thanks again OP. Hopefully I won't have to use the 5year warranty.

  • It's in stock at various locations but back to $169.

    Wierd they cancelled the orders.
