          • @Slovenlynight: Na used it, it takes too long to get a code because I don't actually have a cracked screen its the screen protector, so some agents liked it some don't. Overall it takes about a hour to get a code

        In fact you get $100 even for a Samsung Galaxy S3 or any non working or outdated Samsung phone… you just need to send them photos of the IMEI and front and back phone photos.

  • Ordered on the 16th, still showing “preparing dispatch” e-commerce after 2 hours between live chat and phone told me that it’s all good and they just having problem with star track.
    Interesting that some people ordered 3 days after me and already received it.
    Anyone with similar experience?

    • Same here. I ordered on the 16th as well. Managed to grab a Startrack tracking code from the agent. It should be delivered tomorrow. Can't believe it took almost a week to send it, while others who ordered later, got it almost immediately.

      • I asked for a tracking code and he told me it is still at the warehouse

      • Same here, bot the tracking number but order is still at warehouse to be picked up by courier.

      • How do u know yours will be delivered tomorrow? I also got the tracking number from the rep, but it doesn’t show up on star track website as its not yet scanned and picked up.

          Yep initial it wasn't recorded on the website for almost a whole week. Only today, the Startrack consignment number that I received says it's on its way, and the delivery date is scheduled for tomorrow.

            BTW as per media reports, Star Track truckies are having a 24 hrs strike tomorrow, so you may receive it on Friday then.

                • @OZBsince2018: Yeah it's absolutely ridiculous. They probably messed up our orders with those that came later. Do you reckon it's got to do with location? I'm located in Qld and I believe the phone is shipped from a warehouse in NSW.

  • I have been told StarTrack tried to deliver today and it failed and now they will be calling me for an arrangement. The funny thing is the tracking is still at invalid tracking number (StarTrack has no information)

  • How do I tell Samsung that I am not returning the trade-in phone so they can charge my credit card the tradein value + $60 admin fee so we can get it over and done with??

    • As long as you don't return they will charge you the phone cost 14 days later. They don't have an option to charge back early. No admin fee unless you send the wrong product or send an item that is in different condition to what you told them

      • oh great, reason why I want them to charge me early is so that I can see if I can use the same device to obtain the trade-in code.

        • Uninstall the app and reinstall. Sometimes allows you to make the tradeup code again

      Thanks for writing to us regarding issues on the Samsung trade-up App/website. The below steps should ensure that these issues are sorted, and you would be able to complete the trade up process.

       

      1.       Uninstall the application

      2.       Update your device software to the latest version

      3.       Restart the phone

      4.       Install App and click “Yes” to all app permission that App request. Please note that denying permissions will affect the ability of the App to assess your device/provide a trade up code.

      5.       Proceed with instructions on the trade up app

       

      If you still face issues with the App not functioning it could be due to a conflict with an existing Application or permission related issues. Steps we would suggest as below

      1.       Factory reset your device (device will restart after it is complete)

      2.       Do not restore any other data or sync apps during restart

      3.       Install the Samsung Trade up App, grant app permissions and complete Trade up

      4.       Restore apps/data once trade up process is completed

        • Sorry to hear this. But now you will suffer. Firstly, during normal time its a long process to track the case and then either get the order delivered or get a refund. Probably at least a month easily. Secondly, these days Samsung logistics is all messed up, u can’t reach anyone who can really help, so I guess you will be in it for long.

  • Can't even get through by phone today - Samsung disconnects call

    I've given up on my two phones stuck in warehouse since the strike is on, but prior to knowing about this trade in sale my husband purchased a phantom brown ultra via the education store on 10/09 - since then it's stuck in "order received " status while my phantom brown ordered via this trade in deal on 17/09is already at customising stage due 08/10

    Has anyone had this happen via edu store ?

      Same here, order stuck at warehouse since Sep 17, and nobody at Samsung can do anything :)

    • Yeah they make it very difficult to get through to them… Just be persistent. Even the live chat kept disconnecting me yesterday.

  • Guessing with the strike going on I won't be getting the phone today then… and it will be likely be Monday since tomorrows a holiday in vic.. Just a rant but "express delivery" lol.

    • Even grey imports are quicker… it's ridiculous that domestic deliveries take longer than overseas.

    • I think startrack also delivers Saturday mornings if you're lucky just to give you some hope. But yeah unfortunate timing with the strike

      • Strike is one thing, but seems its sheer mismanagement by Samsung. I am in Sydney and ordered on Thu 16th Sep and it was updated as Dispatched on Fri 17th Sep but still at warehouse and not picked up. Whereas people who ordered on later dates have received their deliveries even in Melbourne and Perth and in Sydney as well. So Star Track did pick up the orders its just some orders are still stuck probably more due to mismanagement by Samsung.

        Status has been updated to in the delivery depot. Fingers crossed if I can get it on Saturday I suppose, but apart from the annoyance… I'll just have to think of it as them prioritising the vaccine hahaha

  • Ordered on 17th Sept at 5:45pm and arrived this morning via Star Track at 9am. I am in western Sydney.
    As others said the phone was rattling around inside a cardboard box without any padding or packaging apart from the Samsung box the phone is sold in.

    Made two separate orders on the 18th of September, to the same household in Brisbane

    1 White S21 256Gb
    1 Gray S21 256Gb

    Gray one got delivered 22nd and got a text message with tracking day before delivery from Startrack, white one says on the way on Samsung website no tracking text been received yet.

    • Order 2 phones in separate orders:

      1 Pink S21 128GB on the 19/9/21
      1 White S21 128GB on the 18/9/21

      Just received an automated email from samsung that the Pink S21 has been dropped off at the local post office. I'm guessing this is how Startrack is dealing with the strike, just dumping all parcels at the local post office. However, I have not received a card/details from them, so not sure which post office i have to go to…

      And no word on the white S21, no text message or tracking number sent to me.
