    It charges LiFePO4 batteries that have a built in BMS, similar to the Noco chargers.

  I bought this earlier this year as lockdowns meant the cars were in the garage more than on the streets. However, didn’t end up needing it and put it away. The recent lockdown then came around and I forgot I had this unit, so went to eBay and bought this:

  Comparing the 2, I would go for the eBay one. I ended up giving this away to a mate of mine and keeping the eBay one. Hopefully, I don’t end up forgetting about it and going to buy another…

  I bought the eBay (Tornado 1200 - 1.2Amp) posted above. Pretty excellent charger for $21.99.
  The GooLoo is a much higher rated amperage (6.0Amp) so it will charge faster. It also has an advantage of giving a digital voltage readout, whereas the Tornado 1200 does not.

  The voltage readout tells you a lot -

  For Reference -
  12.6V volts or above - Your battery is healthy and fully charged.
  12.5 volts - Your battery is okay, but don't let it drop much lower.
  12.1 - 12.4 volts - Your battery is partially discharged and should be recharged as soon as possible, using a suitable battery charger. The lifespan of your battery will be moderately affected if it remains within this voltage range for extended periods of time.
  12.0 volts or below - At 12.0 volts your battery is considered to be fully discharged or 'flat' and should be recharged as soon as possible. The lifespan of your battery will be severely affected if it remains within this voltage range for extended periods of time.
