Not an ATL, but this item was popular when posted in April 2024 for $22.27 and again for Boxing Day sales in December 2024 for $24.70. The 11 cent saving might not spark the biggest jolt to your wallet, but if you’re looking for a ‘charge’ out of it…

Quick Maths:
• A typical 18650 is ~3000mAh × 3.7V = 11.1 Wh
• 1kWh = 1000Wh, so 11.1Wh = 0.0111 kWh
• At ~30c/kWh, one full charge costs 0.0111 × $0.30 = $0.00333 (≈0.33c)
• Hence, $0.11 ÷ $0.00333 = ≈33 free charges

So with that 11c, you can juice up your favourite 18650s around 33 extra times - who says a small spark can’t brighten your day?

Would be better if the cable uses a USB-C connector

    • I had one. It fried itself. There's no good solutions on the market doing it. At best, they can work as a power bank with 5v2a via USB, but don't charge themselves.

  • Better pay more and get SL/Plus version

      Neither has good capacity measurement.

      • any recommendations then? I'm using a old ALDI one which seems to be fine, looking for something that can do 6-8 batteries though, not just 4.

        • Which batteries?

Something like the VC8 Plus will cover pretty much all the bases, though reports of it terminating the charge early for NiMH sometimes.

          • @bamzero: Still, no good capacity measurement.

Expensive, but the best is SkyRC MC3000.

  • It might spark someone's interest

  • Anyone tried the Temu version? On specs they are pretty good/ better than this.
