Hi Guys,

Have been looking for DDR4 RAMs and found the below which seems quite cheap. These are 3600 Mhz, not sure if you will notice any real world differences vs 3200 Mhz.

Kingston Fury Beast RGB 32GB DDR4-3600 RAM

Youtube clip below provides a review (apparently these are just rebranded HyperX brand)

HyperX was acquired by HP. Kingston created the Fury gaming branding to replace it.

Thanks for the info. but either way these are second tier gaming brands that do nothing extraordinary other than fancy lights and awkward design…

    3600 c18 emmm

    • Better to get 3200 c16? Any real noticeable difference when gaming you think?

Big learning curve trying to build a gaming PC. Fun though since not much to do during lockdown.

Pretty much the same thing, what matters more is if you're using Ryzen or Intel.

      • it's hard to say actually. ram timings could be the most tricky part when building a PC from scratch.

General rule of thumb is buy a set of 3200 C16 or 3600 C18 ram with 16*2 capacity and you will be good for the upcoming years… but make sure your CPU and mobo supports RAM OC if you are buying intel (don't)

It always depends on game/setting/pc. Many benchmarks can show faster RAM performing better but in most of these scenarios they have something like a 3080 running at 1080p in bottlenecked situations. For a normal PC like a 3060 I doubt you would see a noticeable difference, but if the price difference is tiny then go for it.

Quite a good price for an RGB variant.

The old Corsair Vengeance RGB is similar if you're already running iCue. https://www.amazon.com.au/CORSAIR-Vengeance-2x16GB-PC4-28800…

The Fury Beast's timings are 18-22-22-45 with a Hynix Die I believe.(educated guess)

If you're using Intel, RAM speeds and timings hardly make a difference as it's architecture doesn't rely on it quite like Ryzen does.

    • Thanks for the input! I do run iCue for my K100 keyboard.

Already brought these, the Vengeance will probably be better as 1 less program to run to manage RGB. On the flip side saved 20 bucks!

Well it's quite possible iCue will pick up the RGB and be able to control it.

iCue is a bit of a resource hog.

  • Will I have any compatibility issues with my current system? Looking to upgrade my 4x4GB ram to 2x16GB
