  Every Nikon up to the D7000 is made in Thailand.
  ie D3100, D5100, D7000
  
  Not sure if anything higher up is made in Thailand… I'm pretty sure the D300 was made in Japan… don't quote me on that.

Nikons are now made in China or Thailand, only the top of the range is made in Japan if i'm not wrong.

Buy Canon if you want made in japan? :P But seriously.. does it really matter? At the end of the day it's not OEM manufactured but rather made by Nikon themselves. So QC will/should be of the same standard to if the factory was in Japan.
