Brateck Heavy Duty Gas Spring Monitor Arm (17" - 43") $129 + PP or Free C&C @ Mwave

80

Hey guys,

Long term lurker, first time poster.

This isn't really a deal as such as it's not on sale, more of a public service announcement. I've had a 49inch curved monitor for sometime and was desperately searching for a monitor arm to mount it on. Anything that could support a monitor like this was just really hard to find, really expensive and not often in Australia. This thing really fits the bill though for a reasonable price. Officially supports up to 43" but it sturdily holds my 48" AOC Agon monitor.

Worth a look if anyone needs such a thing.

  • hey mate just saw that you had agon 49. i was wondering if you could give some feedback on the monitor.
right now i got AOC 34" ultrawide and i am loving it but want something bigger.
Dont know if i should go with 27inch dell panel QHD 175 hz @299 x 2 costing me $600 for 54 inch from todays 20% off dell deal or wait for agon to come under previous price mark of around 1200 which is still double the price compare to dell. Please give some input.

    Thanks

      Hey!
I got the Agon when it first came out last year at the princely sum of $1650 but its a great monitor. At the time I was weighing it up against Samsung's 49" but this one had a higher resolution at a similar price point. Its a fantastic bit of kit, I use it for gaming which is amazing and really great to not have a bezel down the middle of your field of view. When it comes to work it's also amazing, just a great screen to have so much real estate with and it's pretty immersive and all encompassing. If you can stomach the $1200 expense I'd say it's a no brainer. Just be warned you will need a beefy graphics card if you are wanting to game at 4k on it.

      • thanks mate for your input. Cheers

  • Nice cheap alternative when I had to choose mine 2 years ago I only had Humanscale, Ergotron and Atdec as a choice which are all pricey!

  • I've been looking for something like this that will support my 50" tv.
According to the specs, the TV only weighs in at 12.7kg (not sure if that's with or without the stand) and has a VESA 200x200 mount.
Wondering if this would work with a VESA adapter plate?
    Or if there's something better?

    I prefer this one tbh

I find for most of these brackets you just need to look at the weight they support and ignore the inch recommendations.

If you monitor has VESA bracket and is under the max weight the arm can support you should be all good.
