Clickbait - Season Premiere - Free Video Streaming Rental @ ACMI

131

Join us for the world premiere of this compelling, high stakes thriller co-created by Tony Ayres.

Nick Brewer (Adrian Grenier) is a loving father, husband, and brother, who one day suddenly and mysteriously disappears until a video appears on the internet of the badly beaten Nick holding a card that says “I abuse women – at 5 million views, I die”. As his sister (Zoe Kazan) and wife (Betty Gabriel) rush to find and save him, they uncover a side of Nick they didn’t know existed.

Told from revolving points of view, Clickbait is a compelling, high stakes thriller that explores the ways in which our most dangerous and uncontrolled impulses are fueled in the age of social media, revealing the ever-widening fractures we find between our virtual and real-life personas. Co-created by Tony Ayres (Walking on Water, The Home Song Stories) and with a Lead Director in Brad Anderson (The Wire, The Sinner), the series is a major Australian-American co-production.

The full 8-part limited series will be available on Netflix from Wednesday 25 Aug 2021.

They started filming this on my street In Camberwell VIC just before corona started and had to pop back a few times to finish it off.

Been looking forward to seeing it purely to see how my street looks. 😀

    • That should be great.
