I bought these from the same seller and had to return them for a refund because the Bluetooth connection kept dropping out on phone calls. probably received a faulty unit. Apart from that, sound quality was good, handy features, perfect if you have a Samsung phone. Great for this price.

  • +1

Very tempted but I fear there will be a price drop when they release the new model on 10.9.

On paper, which one is better? This one or the buds 2?

      https://www.inputmag.com/reviews/galaxy-buds-2-review-so-goo…

Unsure as to review quality/if they're reputable but it seems that buds pro do have better sound, although not -that- much better than the Buds 2 than the price would indicate.

    • Btw, can you provide further info or a link regarding new 10/9 model? Or is that just the Buds 2 (seems to be from my searching)

      • +1

just the buds 2. I read elsewhere that they're a better buy than the pro

        • +1

Battery life is the main area where buds 2 outperform buds pro. But ANC and audio quality seem to be better on the pro

    • +1

Water resistance on the Buds Pro is better and tbh the only reason you should be buying these anyway (the active noise cancelling isn't that good, the sound and the rest of the feature set is great, but similar enough to the older bud plus etc).

  • +2

The version 2 isn't based off buds pro. These are still their premium line it's just that the buds 2 are so good that they are close to the buds pro

  • Is anyone able to share a link regarding an upcoming Buds Pro v2? I recall seeing one somewhere else on this site but all my searching is for naught because all I can find is info regarding Buds 2… nothing for a Buds Pro successor. Was it just a rumour that turned out to be the Buds 2 instead of Buds Pro 2?

    • Yep, no new Buds Pro 2 were announced. Just th Buds 2. They have many of the Pro features though.

  • +4

I regret my buds pro purchase, by the time I realised they don't fit right and slowly try to fall out I couldn't return them.

    • +2

This is a common issue with the Buds Pro. Anyone looking to buy these, I would strongly recommend considering the Buds 2 purely for this reason. I'm not fussy with ear buds normally but these fall out so easily, even after I replaced the tips with foam alternatives.

  • +3

I regret mine too and sold them. Absolute garbage.

  • +3

I do like my Buds Pro, but they shot themselves in the foot with the garbage ear tips that they've included.

    1. They are too small, I think even the large one is comparable to small-medium on compatiable ones.
    2. They are oval shaped so getting a replacement is pain in the arse. Some earphone tips do fit with bit of force, but they don't feel right (sticks out bit too much)

There are a lot of wonderful replacement tips that I have (foam tips, and bunch more from the days when I was into audio stuff), none of them feels right with the Buds Pro because of the (profanity) oval shaped tip.

Why does this matter? Because on an earphone, the earphone tips have a huge impact on the fit. The fit is going to affect everything from the sound quality, noise cancelling, comfort, so on and so forth.

I am fortunate that the included earphoen tip fits OK (still find the earphone tip slightly on the small side, but it's OK). I like the features that they've included with the earphone. That said, I had better earphone tips.

  • I have got both and can say that the apple AirPods (wi th charging) are much more comfortable to the ears, compared to the buds pro!!

    • +1

Probably a matter of preference, because I also have both and much prefer my Samsung buds to my AirPods

  • -4

Sounds like crap I've bought cheap ones on eBay etc that have no issues with fitting at all there's so many options out there under $100- just look at Amazon SoundPEATS

  • I was after a pair of these when it was selling for around $250 plus. I went for the Nuraloop instead for a cheaper price and its been great so far. Anywayz, great deal this is but methinks I'll refrain this time around.

  • +1

Buds plus have better sound and fit.

This is still a good price for good buds with ANC

  • How is this compared to Sony xb700

  • +1

I have had these for quite a while and I really like them, really great sound, ANC is okay. The microphones are great, I use them for calls several times a day and I'm told I'm very clear. Battery is great if you don't use the ANC often, because I'm between calls and then listening to music the rest of the time, I will have them in for like 8 hours a day and they don't run out of battery. I usually charge the case every couple of days, so happy on that front. They're also comfortable to have in your ears for 8 hours as well. The instant connection on my samsung phone works like the way airpods do with iPhones, which is great.

But if I went back in time, I wouldn't buy them. Because like everyone else says, they fall out of my ears if I move around, if I bend over, if I'm chewing. It's fine if I'm sitting at my desk or on the couch and not moving, but I still feel them moving and have to occasionally adjust them. It sort of makes the waterproofing pointless because I tried running in them a couple of times and they just fall out instantly. I use my original galaxy buds that don't move at all when you put them in, even though it doesn't have a waterproof rating.

Unless you are just using them for work calls and sitting at your desk with them and not moving at all, look for something else.

  • New version pixel buds are coming.
