      Is this a rolex?

  • +2

Good price, but it's a shame that this is a Save the Ocean. The complications completely obscure the dial, which is kinda the point of the whole thing.

    • +1

That is true but being the only chrono in the STO series, it may appeal to those who want/need the chrono function along with the solar movement.

      • What does the solar dial do?

        • reserve indicator

            • @gadgetguy: no actually its not ..i guessed wrong. :P
looking at it its a 2 dial chrono complication with a 24 hour subdial at the 3 oclock position
the 'solar' at that lower dial is seiko branding

              • @franco cozzo: Yeah I just read the mini review.

Can't see any diver functions like depth or length of dive mentioned. So I'm assuming there are none?

        What are you talking about?

        • +2

He's talking about divers who mass catch crustaceans professionally / as a job and perhaps that entire industry. Fuel pollution, rubbish etc etc.

          • +2

@Fuzor: I fail to see what that has to do with a special edition watch that donates money to an ocean conservation charity run by Jacques Cousteau's son.

Like if you want to save the world then don't live on Earth?

        • -1

Well I don’t wear any “save the world” watch… anyway it is a joke don’t take it too literally….

  • i have the paid versions, the save the ocean would have been nice but the chrono makes the dial a bit too busy to easily view for time.

I have the stolen version. Wait what?

Nicely made watch for sure but chronographs don't belong on dive watches

Fine save the ocean. What about my wallet?

    • +1

      get a casio instead?

      • Those cash-ior would not help

Thanks OP. Got one. Extremely happy with my old Citizen Titanium watch but it is getting knicked too much so it's time for a backup.

Bought, not sure how a silver and blue watch would look on my collection of dark blue suits but who knows.

Bought over 15 similar watches from them in the last few years. They look great in my drawer!

  • +2

I'm mighty tempted but damn 43.5mm is big for my girly wrists.

    • ankles?

    • Most Seikos divers have a big case size but short lugs to help with the fitment. They sound large but aren't too bad when you have them on the wrist.

  • ooohh…I hope they'll extend the deals til Afterpay day
