bring Nokia back! it used to be my favourite brand!!!

    • Same goes for a lot of us, there was a good reason too…there's a hell of a lot of really old Nokia phones out there that still work! Those things are like a Timex, they take a licking & keep on ticking! :)

        I was/am/still is a Nokia fan.

Great hardware, unfortunately the user interface is sadly running behind Android and Apple, although clunky, but widely usable.

The revamped os seems to be more friendly, but I'm waiting for the newer Nokia/Microsoft handset with Windows os and front facing camera.

This is very very tempting though.

        Nokia 5800 user.

        • nokias where good…. until you had any type of issue with them, support in any form was abysmal!

        • 5800 user here.

Downloading international maps in advance for the GPS was a great feature. Having the phone crash a few times while out driving in the country (following the GPS) not so good.

Also the out of memory on the 5800 is not too good. Nor is it that the camera keeps becoming unusable (till I do a system restart and even then the camera doesn't always respond)

This is a Windows Phone handset just in case you aren't aware. Some reviews say it is considerably more useable than the high end Lumia 800 due to hardware design even though it's a low/mid range phone.

Personally speaking while there's a lot to like about WinPho atm it's just to much of a gamble for me to even consider based on the early stages of the OS (no copy and paste …) and lack of takeup (and therefore app development - based on numbers in apps stores alone iOS and Android are so far ahead it's not funny).

Symbian "running behind" Android and iOS is an understatement but in any case it doesn't matter in this case.

        • these new nokias run WP7 Mango (version 7.5), which has a number of updates on the original. cut and paste is now available (and really handy to use). multi tasking as well.

I have an HTC HD2 which I used to run whatever the latest android release was, but now am a total WP7 convert. give it a week or two to figure out how it works, and its pretty handy.

I'm waiting for the Nokia Note with Win 8.

  • This makes this phone compatible with Optus/Vodafone 3G network but not compatible with Telstra NextG.

  • My wife is using a 710 and she loves it. The build quality is better than most of the Android phones out there, but can feel cheap at some places, like the buttons.

My 800 on the other hand feels like a top quality phone and is one of the best phones I have ever used or play with.

  • What's a "Nokia" ???(!)

  • Good price but damn that looks like one dodgy storefront!!

  • Quirky shopping logic. It offers buyers to buy microSD cards in conjunction with purchasing the Lumina 710 even though the phone can't use it.

  • I'm keen to pull the trigger on this one but has anyone dealt with ipmart??

  • If you happen to find a cheaper deal you can barter with them http://www.ipmart.com//main/price_suggest_form.php?prod=3363…
