They probably sold the name to the Shin Hao No. 4 steam mop company.
Can you fill the water tank and start or does it need a continuous supply.. like connected to a hose ?
Does it come with a milk frothing attachment?
How often does one use this?
I have carpets and would like to steam clean but seems a bulky item to store if only required occasionally.
Would this clean grout well?
I have Euroflex m6s to clean shower room grout and it works very well.
Cleaning grout, it is mostly grease/oil and soap residue; higher steam temperature means faster to melt them away.
Can this be used on hybrid flooring?
FYI: A few things keep in mind
Steam temperature
- higher = better, ideally 130 C; very high temperature means more $$$ like Saphira C8 176 C
- low temperature (around 100C or water boiling point) means just spraying hot water not steam
Pressure
- higher better; 4+ bar is pretty good
Water Tank capacity
- 1L last about 40min of continuous steaming
- high capacity means longer time to heat up
Depending on your needs, make your own judgement
So this unit is 1.8l (heats in 12 min) and 58 psi = 4 bar and heats to "over" 100c so you're saying it should be pretty good at a 5th of the cost of the one you linked?
I first got into researching steaming cleaner after seeing McCulloch MC1385 deal previously. After the research, I came to the conclusion, McCulloch MC1385 would be disappointing after watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gs1WytOi6Zo. Reading between the lines, the guy basically says dripping water is annoying and the temperature is not high enough.
I am not saying it does not work, just be mindful with what you buying.
101C is over 100C. Note 100C measurement is in the tank and by the time, the steam passes though the hose, it will drop to below 100. I've also noticed, high ends and expensive one proudly list their temperature while other just say over 100c.
No I don't have Saphira C8 (176c) but settled for Euroflex Vapour M6S (130c) - listed $349 atm.
What's this like on wood floors? Any recommendations?
Just amazed to see that name back in Australia, Husky shut it down here after it cost them millions…
