Felix on same network and cheaper
$35 per month unlimited data capped at 20Mbps .. havent had any issue with streaming over past 2 months

Felix is definitely a good deal but this isn’t really the same thing… 500GB of data at potentially 5G speeds will be very tempting to some! For comparison the most Optus currently offer on a SIM only plan is 240GB for $85/m and $115 for 180GB with Telstra.

      • Big Optus data only plan (50% off) is 75GB for $25 with 5G
Big Telstra data only plan is 400GB for $85 with 5G

(thats SIM plans without voice, i.e. for mobile broadband or tablets)

Good point, but all depends on use case. I've tried both Felix and Voda. I get over over 200-300mbps on 4G on my tower (fortunate, it's only a few hundred m away) and the higher speed has definitely been useful during some NBN issues. But yeah, 95% of the time on Felix honestly i didn't notice any difference being limited to 20mbps. So much of what we do is mobile optimized and coming from cache's that high speeds are not often needed.

  • I hopped over to Vodafone from Telstra and are regretting it,tbh. They're just too slow.

My current speed is 36.20 Mbps. I was getting over 300 with Telstra.

can Felix Data be used in in 3G / 4G model Hot-spot ?

You’re asking in the wrong place.

They don't want you to but you can, check the whirlpool forums, people there have been doing it for months.

    • Not anymore, they can now detect your modem and warn you to discard it within 7 days. TOS is now enforced on their end, however look at TPG Wireless Broadband - https://www.tpg.com.au/home-wireless-broadband
