  • Hi Op,
What is the brightness of the LED lights white? Thanks.

  • Micro-usb

    • Anyone know of a good type C head lamp?

  • +3

I did a search on Aliexpress & the most popular one is US$3.72 + GST delivered.

Bunnings Arlec 100 Lumen LED Head Torch $4.95.
Kmart Motion Activated LED Headlight With USB Charge $12.00

Not sure how this is a bargain. Seems more like free advertising.

    • +1

      Couldn't agree more with you.

I have the arlec one from Bunnings, pairs great with some Eneloops.

    • +1

      Agreed.
You could buy a Bunnings one + rechargeable batteries + a charger - for almost the same price.

I have the bunnings one for a year.. still on the included AAAs.

    • Price $1 lower than last deal - not sure if that now constitutes a bargain?

The Kmart one is good - has the red night lighting which is really good when you're camping.

    • Where is the arlec it showing as unavailable

    • I got the alixpress one for $2AUD + 400 coins via the use coin thing on the app.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one

Going to use it like this: https://youtu.be/GgQ2Eoqi3LU

  • Checking to see if should buy

  • Negging due to this being a Alibaba importer, the professionals go to the source to obtain the bargains, not to Alibaba importers.

$13.38 delivered here - everyday price too!

However OP obviously bought his head torches from Alibaba, only the true importers source their stock from Alibaba for the bulk discounts!

    A$3.85 - A$4.40

You can use this site to calculate postage via China Post.
On OPs SpAmazon page the torch is listed as weighing 72g, and using the above mentioned site to calculate postage it comes to $6.30 per torch to be delivered to Australia, so for 1,000 to be delivered to Australia it's $6.30 X 1000 = $6,300.

Ok thought I'd put a little more effort into finding a cheaper torch on Alibaba that is similar to OP's.
    A$3.66 - A$8.64, select 'HL05-D 2w MOQ=100' and add 1000, the total cost is $3660.00 delivered

Ok now let's calculate ops costs sending to his buyers. The cheapest would be a large letter for $2.20(auspost.com.au) this is for 125g 260 x 360 x 20mm envelope. Don't forget as op is running a business he can save up to 40%

So if someone buys 1,000 torches from the second Alibaba link, has them delivered to Australia it'll cost a total of $4483.72.
Now let's say they sell 1,000 torches on Amazon for $14.88ea, subtract Amazon's 30% ($4.464) cut brings the profit down to $10.416ea, now subtract $2.20 (however as a business the person is eligible for up to 40% discount of postage) to deliver the torches to the buyer brings the profit further down to $8.216, and finally subtract $4483.72 the cost to buy and have the torches delivered to Australia equals a grand total profit of $3732.28!!
And people think that these SpAmazon sellers are running at cost to deliver their so called bargain prices to OzBargain. It's not OzBargain it's OzAdvertising!!

Check out my other comment here for info on importers importing so called 2.1 HDMI cables

Sorry OP, but you're on the wrong site
