Was there a revision to the V8 models? Its such an old model I couldn't believe the price had jumped from previous best deals.

For angry people I said it's an old model not its bad

Not sure sorry. I haven't bought a stick vac yet, still undecided between something like the Dyson V10 or the Xaomi Dreame models.

No idea but why did they put [2021] in the product title?

  • +2

My Dyson V59 has been going for 7 years, though multiple head and battery replacement, which has costed me over $150 at least.

Bought a $100 Trouver since to accompany the Dyson. Just have to see how long it last & how much maintenance. Though I can't see myself going back to Dyson now with such price difference :/

    • +1

Yeah for the price of battery almost i got a whole new Trouver off the $99 specials I saw on here and dont think i'll be going back to Dyson given the price difference. Maybe on carpet but for hardfloors the Trouver does a better job than my V6 I had prior.

      • Did the same and agree with this. Only thing the Trouver is lacking is a carpet head or performance, otherwise its adequate. I'll likely jump on a Dreame V or T series at some stage so there a better carpet option.

    • Which Dyson did you buy 7 years ago?

      • +1

        DC59 Animal

  • This or Dreame T20 for same price at Amazon?

    • +1

Get Dyson V8 if you don't mind a low end Dyson. (Dyson is very good, but V8 too old)
Get Dreame V10,V11 or T20 if you prefer more suction, more tools and probably cheaper. But keep in mind, some Dreame only come with "hard floor/sorf roller" head which is not good at cleaning carpet.
Can't tell the durability though, as my Dyson and Dreame still working as new after 1.5 - 2.5 years.

      • How bad have you found T20 with carpets? Others have commented that it works pretty well even without a carpet head.

        • +1

I have Dreame V9 which has both soft roller and carpet head and Dyson V10. Dreame T20 come with combo head which could work well in all floor include carpet, but need someone with T20 to give you their real experience, sorry

          • @stevelo: so whats your verdict between Dreame V9 vs Dyson v10?

            • @freelipe: Dyson v10 has more suction power which is better if you can pay triple the price. Dreame V9 can do everything Dyson V10 can do, if you want cheap vacuum, you can wait for trouvor special like the people mentioned above, or Dreame V10 or v11 for a bit more. Dyson is very good, just that V8 is very old model and it’s suction power only 115AW. (Dreame V9 120AW)

  • How does this compare to v10 animal

    • That is the question

  • I would recommend think twice before committing to a v10 or v11. It’s a great vacuum however the proven to have a design flaw in the trigger button which is crack easily. Happened to me right outside warranty. The issue is everywhere for these model on YouTube where V8 has none. Imagine a piece of 10c plastic gives up on you and you have to dig deep in pocket for a $200 replacement body. Madness.

  • Has anyone tried Ryobi stick vacuum - How does it compare?
