Get ready to challenge your brain in a variety of ways in Dr Kawashima's Brain Training for Nintendo Switch

Test your skills with an assortment of exercises and tests in different play styles, such as holding your Nintendo Switch console vertically and using a stylus or your finger or using the right Joy-Cons; IR motion camera, which detects the shape of your fingers

Train together: With one Joy-Con each, challenge friends and family to select kinds of training

Take it online: If you're connected to the internet and have a Nintendo Switch online membership, you can show your training results in the game's rankings and compete for high scores with friends

To play certain exercises on Nintendo Switch Lite, a Joy-Con pair is required and a device to recharge the Joy-Con controllers, such as the Joy-Con charging grip, will also be required

Maybe just me but I found this game to be a bit disappointing as I really enjoyed the previous editions on Nintendo DS. YMMV!

  • Even $30 sounds pretty pricey.
I enjoyed it back in the DS days, but it didn't seem like it's moved very far on from then.

  • Big throwback to brain training on the DS! Pity it doesn’t seem to have evolved/improved in the intervening 14 years.

  • Wait a few years and these will be $1 like the previous DS and 3DS titles

  • Does anyone know any empirically validated brain training games ?

  • If you don't have a stylus for your switch this is a pretty good way to get one.

    • Main reason I ordered it, but I did enjoy the DS version back in the day. Stylus works with Mario Maker 2.
