Looks like rep made a new Amazon product page as the previous one had a bad rating:

Very below average products. Doesn’t match photos. You will never use this site to order whisky glass again I promise.

"You could give your husband, dad, uncle, grandfather, brother, best man, male friends…"
    Notice anything?
And what is "Thanksgiving", or "Halloween"???

    • +3

Yeah, they missed great grandparents and sons.

I'm just surprised "funeral gift" wasn't mentioned.

Daily reminder that whisky stones are stupid and don't do anything.

    • They're actually worse than that, they impart a flavour and ruin your whisky.

I don't see why whisky 🥃 needs chilling

    • i do like my whisky chilled

I suppose it has to do with all that advertising from the US, convincing people that all hard drinks must be served 'on the rocks' 🥃 and beer must be ice-cold🍺 Whilst I can see its appeal on a hot summer's day, I prefer ale to lager and you can't taste the flavours of an ale when it's ice-cold. I guess given the kind of pigswill they called beer, it could well be more palatable when it's ice-cold 😂

To those who have not tried yet…
I found the whiskey stone a dud.
Either you enjoy the whiskey with full flavour and hence warm, or you prefer a bit soother taste - then you drink it cooler and diluted with the thawed water.
I am not saying one or the other is worse or better, they both have their place and I do drink either based on my mood and the type of whiskey.
But the concept of cold and not diluted whiskey (using the stones) just did not impress me.

^^^this… and even if you wanted chilled whisky for some reason, why not just chill the glass?

    • +2

Instead of whiskey stones, just put the glass in the freezer for 30 minutes or so, then pour the whisky in and let it sit for a few minutes to normalise. Cold glass chills the whisky, room temp whisky warms up the glass so you can hold it.

Or keep the whisky bottle in the fridge. This might be dangerous during these lockdown times if you keep it right near the milk and you "accidentally" reach for it when making your morning coffee.

    • I found the same.

I have these and the stainless steel ones. Both are equally gimmicky. Chilling the glass works best
