hmm I wonder why they've specified only v8 models. What's stopping it from being used with the V11? Looks like the same width/push button attachment used for even the V7 series?

    • +3

It does work for the v11 because I have that hose and v11

    • +2

I work for Dyson, works for everything v7 and up. Just doesn’t have power connector for motorised heads. Great tool though

  • +1

awesome tool this. Have one from V6 days that I've been using with an adaptor for our V8/V10. Will pick up an updated hose at this price, thanks OP!

    • I've got a V6, where can I get an adaptor to use with this hose? Can I get one at HN or do I need to get an official adaptor from Dyson website?

      • An official one doesn't exist AFAIK. You can 3D print one off thingiverse or pick an aftermarket one up on ebay.

  • +4

can it work on the v6?

    • +2

      no, V8 and up only.

    • +2

They've changed the connection interface starting from V7.

Googling the product code says the following -
    Dyson Quick Release Extension Hose for V7, V8, V10, V11 967764-02

    • Yep, I found that too

      • Got a V10. None available for C&C nearby so paid the $7.95 delivery fee. Have needed one of these for the car.

    • Works for 12 and 15 too

    • Thanks. Grab one for the mattress tool

I bought this instead… Extra $23 for the flexi crevice I thought was worth it

      • +2

the flexi crevice tool is the least used tool in our household. This $49 kit is not comparable to the flexi extension hose. If you must buy one, buy the $12 hose.

    vacuum included?

Also available from goodguys for $14

    • Great, free delivery to VIC, so cheaper than Gerry.

      • Pickup only.

    • Thanks. Couldn’t get delivery but found stock close by.

    • Ended up doing this as there were no near HN stores with stock near me.

Connected it to my Dyson, works, love it

  • Waiting for comment on no to Gerry..

  • Very useful attachment to vacuum car.

  • Very useful these things for dusting and other above ground vacuuming with dyson sticks.

Thanks OP. Bought the extension and mattress tools. Went for shipping in the end as couldn’t find a store with both in stock

    • I did the same. Love the way they bring it to the car when one arrives at the store. Wish it was always like that as so handy and quick!

    • So did I haha

  • Random question - I have a DC 33 upright, and want to be able to securely attach accessories to the hose (not the stick). At the moment, I can slide them on but they come loose in a few seconds of use.

    • +1

You could try wrapping a tissue or thin cloth around the tube.

      • Thanks! It’s too bad they didn’t think of having a clip on the hose, since it’s not logical to use the wand when cleaning lounges, cars etc

  • Thanks, OP

  • Wish the fluffyhead would go on sale…

    • You can call Dyson support. I believe $140 for v7/8 or $190 for v10/11 model

      • Thanks man, I meant I wish it would go on sale as in drop in price every now and then.

I refuse to buy from Harvey Norman, Gerry Harvey owns us $22m in job keeper.
But this is a great deal! Thanks OP, I bought a few things.

    • +1

So you did buy from HN then :-)

  • +4

Trouble is it means buying from Harvey "Screw the taxpayer and not return jobkeeper even though our sales increased" Norman.

I would never touch that low-life company again ..

All the decent companies in Australia who did not need job keeper returned it, like the Super group etc ..

  • Thanks OP, got one from Moss Vale (reason to get out once lock downs end). Same sale at Domayne ($12) with stock at Warrawong for anyone else who's still looking.

  • Thanks bought from TGG

  • dammit expired early, got ozbargained probably.
