  • The question is where can you travel to? I bought the road bike version of this bag from your store early last year before covid hoping to go on a tour with my bike overseas last September, which of course didn't happen. The bag still sits in the box unopened.

Hey Saturday, the closed borders have definitely messed up a lot of people's travel plans!

We have a lot of guys travelling interstate for Ironman and other competitions (Not sure what is going to happen to this with the new lockdowns… but hopefully most will still go ahead.)

Some people are also leaving AUS permanently and taking their bikes.

It may be a while before we can travel with our bikes again, but at least you can get this bag at a great price for later use. Before Covid they would usually sell between $649 and $749 …except for the odd sale here and there.

Good price, but no TT bike here :)

FWIW - I bought and used the road bike version back in 2019 - went to Tasmania, and then to Italy/France.
Worked well, good bag, happy with the product.

Prior to this current lockdown (I'm in Sydney), I was thinking of going to Tassie again - absolutely beautiful roads, pretty well maintained, gorgeous scenery.
It might be a month or so before this current outbreak gets stomped on and things start to return to normal.

    • Hey Zippy, the Aerocomfort Tri can be used with road bikes as well (frame size up to 62cm) and handlebar width up to 48cm… So if you have any wider handlebars the road would be the go.

I'm planning on doing a road tour in Tassie next year hopefully (depending on the border situation) looks beautiful!

  • Where was this before Cairns, I enjoy the bag. Just needs more space and protection near rear derailleur and gear bag needs better zippers.

  • OP, I am interested in buying the road version. Any chance you can do the same deal for the road version?

Hey Infi8ite, I have made the code valid on the road version as well. We have limited stock left (<20) so I couldn't "officially" add it as a deal.

The code should work now, let me know if you have any issues!

        Thanks a lot, mate.

Just wondering if I need to purchase any additional paddings with this bag (i.e Brake Levers & Gear Protector)? Have you had any reports on bent/cracked chainstays because of the rigid bike bag frame that the bike is attached to.

        • Hey infi8ite.

The base of the bag is solid and designed very well when it comes to protecting the chainstays as well as the overall frame.

The additional padding isn't necessary as the bag is reinforced for max protection, but for additional peace of mind, you have a few options.

A lot of guys like to buy the foam pool noodles from Bunnings (pretty cheap, about $10) and cut it to size for the frame, handlebars and drivetrain. Alternatively we do offer SCICON protection accessories.

  • What's the difference between the Road and TT version in terms of the dimension/size?

    • Hey Shuey they are identical, except the tri has a longer and narrower nose to accommodate tri-bars.

Most road bikes (up to 62cm frame and 48cm handlebars) will fit into the tri bag, while the road can accommodate wider handlebars.
