    I'm intrigued, but certainly not going to spend any more money with these guys until my order from a couple of months back arrives. Tracking information was never supplied for it, despite being called out at the time of ordering and in the confirmation email.

      Quick update: tracking information was provided today which suggests that the package was bounced, for reasons unknown, somewhere along the outbound path and subsequently returned to their warehouse over a month ago. Unfortunately this is the first I'm hearing about it. They've offered to try an alternate shipping company or process a refund.

    Is the power from an atx power supply clean enough to use for an audio amplifier? Hum, noise etc?

      It depends on

      • how pedantic you are
      • the quality of the PSU

      in most cases, a high quality ATX PSU is likely sufficient (plus the amp will likely have additional filtering).

      on the flip side, most high end audio gear use a linear power supply (vs a switch mode supply in pretty much all ATX supplies, which have the potential for more noise), so from that perspective, its highly unusal

      So, maybe?

    As far as I remember in order to get ATX PSU running you have to provide some dummy load. It does't look like this board is doing it.

      Most do, but I have run across a few that didn't. A 10k ohm 10W resistor should be adequate.

        In this combination one of these numbers is out for most real world applications.
