I wouldn't get this. I expect 3060 or even 3060 Ti builds should be around that price point in the near future
this is very cheap already, only $400-$450 for the 2060
Yeah, it's the dGPU that lets this thing down.
I expect a decent RTX-3000 series options coming later than sooner, and probably a better alternative from AMD as well.
A noob question, if an older gen graphics card produces the same 3D mark result as the current gen, will that mean they produce the same gaming experience? and can pick a cheaper one?
I wouldn't rely on it. I'd check benchmarks for the games you want to play rather than synthetic benchmarks like 3d mark etc
@suburbanmale: Agree, I should have asked if they produce a similar gaming experience with very close 3D mark result? Coz a lot of the time, for the same price, you could get a older card with much higer 3D mark result, so that makes me think why not choose that? It's supposed to produce a smoother gaming exp, right?
Depending on the generation gap between cards and the game, most likely not because newer generations bring with them new graphic tech.
For example; the thing everyone is currently wild about is ray-tracing and is found only on the newer cards. So while the FPS might be the same, you can often get a prettier picture with the newer graphics cards.
GPUs getting cheaper every week…
Depends how badly you need somethingbad time to build mate
things are going to get cheaper quick
May I ask why do you think things (PC hardware) are going to get cheaper quick
just an example?

a few months ago you could barely find anything in stock, even at insane prices. now you wont struggle to find stock, and prices have been slowly creeping down. wont be long until pricing and stocks come back to near normal levels
@perfectlydark: Then seems like time too sell and then wait few months too buy, thanks 👍
Just slightly more powerful than my acer predator 17x laptop with 1080 mobile. No thanks

Muuuuch better deal with a 3060ti
Yup. This is the deal I chose over the others. Now I'm just waiting for it to arrive ahhaha
Agreed but I reckon the individuals parts used by BPC vs Techfast needs to be considered as well. I think the BPC parts are better.
Sure, SSD and PSU on the techfast deal are worse.
Upgrade to a 1TB nvme and a 750W gold psu and youre now better than the BPC deal in basically every way for an extra $367. Up to you to decide if thats worth it for a 3060ti vs a 2060 (it definitely is)no lol, 5600x is superior to 10400f if you do cpu task, 3200mhz vs 2666mhz ram
@ln28909: These are gaming computers, so 90% of people buying them won't notice as the two CPUs perform basically the same for gaming.
I've got a 5600x, but i would recommend a 10400f to most of my mates.
2666mhz ram is the fastest the 10400f can support, so i'd say thats a fair comparison.
@cheesecactus: apple to orange comparison, this is a PC, a PC has many purposes
@ln28909: Agreed, this deal is slightly sweeter: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/636540
But the best thing to do would be to buy both ($1500 + $1300). Then combine the best parts into one of the builds, and keep it for yourself. Then sell the other build as Brand New for a decent profit (eg $1600).
Then you've essentially got a very nice deal, just required extra steps ; )
This is a decent deal if you need some gaming performance now - with the option of upgrading the GPU when prices come down below rrp.
This, for gaming. This is a lopsided build with too much power/money on the CPU, and is designed for GPU upgrades later.
I personally have done my last two builds this way, but I've stopped doing it now due to wear and tear/effort down the road.
I'd say 95% of people would still be better off with Luke's deal with a 3600+3060 for the same price, and sell it in 3 years and get an entirely new computer.
…i guess unless you were going to stick a 3080ti in this in 6mo time…then maybe this is legit.
I reckon this is probably one of the best bang for buck pre-built systems at the current time even considering the 2060 - you should be able to get decent 1080p gaming out of this.
(profanity) no
On ya Linus…. Guess YouTube channels aren't making enough for ya lolll
Better to read what he has to say, than listening to his voice.
The most annoying noise in the world is his voice.
hahahahaha …. his voice and before his beard he actually looked like a rat but his successful and couldnt care less what we think
Maybe if you actually provided constructive criticism instead of saying others look like a rat and you hate their voice, people would care what you think.
Destructive criticism is worthless.
@Vinodra: Actually I like him… It's more an observation that the beard suits him .. Very successful guy and I watch a lot of his videos… Anthony is my favourite guy there… Linus wouldn't give a flying crud what I think of his looks or voice… And nor should he
@scud70: Anthony is easily the best on the show. He knows what he's talking about.
Wouldn't this be a better buy from them

can anyone do a pc part picker comparison?
the problem is I got a Machine from Dell with 2060 at about 1200 bucks, and that's been more than a yr, can't justify 1300 bucks for the similar built even though the CPU and other opponents are slightly better.
Back in April, at the peak of GPU price insanity, the followed could be had for similar price.

Some variation
Cons: CPU, single channel Ram, Proprietary PSU and the stigma of brand pre-built.
Pro: bonus wifi, oem windows.I bought this deal over a week ago. Upgraded a couple of components (Mobo, PSU). PC arrived in 6 working days.
Been quite happy with the performance. I think in current scheme of things this is a pretty sweet deal (with a vision to upgrade the GFX card in a few months). Components are definitely better quality then the TechFast 3060Ti deal (except the GFX card offcourse).
BPC guys were friendly in responsive.im just in pain coz the ram isnt getting cheaper…which is bs…it is almost like ram cancelled out all the savings from mobo and cpu
I'm still searching for a deal on an AMD PC without the GPU but it seems the GPU must be the real money earner in a build.
Would this run BF2042? That is my target for gaming and I am happy to be on lower settings at reasonable FPS till I can get a better GPU.
Assuming I will need to upgrade the Stock cooler to an AIO?
"Go to deal" navigates to a list of PCs with this one nowhere to be found. Expired?
Yeah I think the sale has expired and I can see the same build on their website but for $1500
Orignal deal has expired.
V2 is up for $1499 … which I dont think is anywhere near as sweet :)

Should I wait or invest? I only have around $1,400 and is increasing $20 a week.
