Suffering Fomo on this deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/636822#comment-10723083 from adr8, I started hunting around for a better deal to keep me entertained in lockdown and found this local stock for the same model but with only 1 battery. Thought it worthy of its own post.

Price though is even less that previous even if you have to source a 2nd battery you should still be able to end up ahead. I didn't renew my eBay plus so paid $101.11 without which is still pretty sharp.

Any suggestions for a the best deal on a compatible battery are welcome (right now I'm looking on Aliexpress).

    Great deal. Best advice I got getting into hobby RC is never buy an RC car with no parts support.

        All parts are available through AliExpress and bangood. You can get a good selection of parts through eBay and Amazon too.

    Is this one waterproof guys? I bought the high speed 50km/h one from SCA when it was $150 and had fun for just few weeks until it died on the beach

    Great deal indeed, seems alright judging by the YouTube reviews on it too. It will go nicely next to my Jet Hopper, two 4wd Bullets and Tamiya Hornet I have.

    haha just came back from racing two of these with my daughter… great value for money……recommend buying a second battery each as they only last for 10 mins or so.

    Can you make battery packs for these using old 18650s, or do the li-ion batteries not supply enough current?

      I'd assume not. I don't think those batteries are designed to release current quickly like lipos.

          You can safely ignore their time estimates. I placed an order on june 8th with an estimate of 13-20 days for delivery. It apparently still hasn't left China 30 days later.

            @wombat81: Definitely a lottery but I’ve had stuff delivered from AliExpress in a week recently. Best expect the worst to avoid disappointment.
