    Gst killed Ali….

      Well it's the law….

      • +4

        liberal law

Considering most things I buy from AliExpress are tech I'm claiming them all back on tax. Just like I do every financial year.

      • Good point, but what about that rule about
claiming tax, from invoices needing to show ABN ?

        • +1

Be sure to read this regarding foreign exchange rates so you calculate it correctly. That way if Mr ATO comes knocking for an audit you know you've done it properly.

          • @Clear: What I meant was, claiming tax is usually from invoices
where the ABN is printed on the invoice.

            • @whyisave: It's interesting because the invoices say the following.

Platform name: Alibaba.com Singapore E-Commerce Private Limited
              Platform GST Number: 3000 1351 4525

I'm not sure what that GST number is referring to.

              • @Clear: My understanding is (and I'm no accountant nor into finance)
the tax law says that tax claims are allowed when invoices show the ABN.
Then, the government also allows something like AU$ 300 worth of claims,
without an invoice (some kind of 'discretionary spending')

  • What about $500 spend?

    • Too rich for Ali Express. Not their target audience.

    • +1

That's baller territory, Amazon or eBay

  • Has anyone bought any graphics card from Ali lately? I’ve heard about people dumping used graphics cards in China after the Bitcoin crash but not sure if we could find any bargain there. A few quick searches showed the prices of the 1050 Ti are not much different to eBay.

I find Aliexpress really unreliable. Only recently i did a few orders and most dont show up or take months and the most recent the seller messaged me asking for more money or i could request to cancel. What's most surprising was that ali had a process for this and i could pay via the message. I would have thought that its not allowed but obviously not. I still have one item in transit which tracks with Australia Post but says it waiting to go on a flight which had been the status for over a month 😔

    • Not always unreliable if you go to the correct sellers. I bought a few keyboard parts from AliExpress, good prices, earliest delivery in June taking 12 days, the one before taking 14 days, latest taking 30 days (china air mail), 20 days in May. Sellers do occasionally ask before shipping out, but they are mostly fine. I use AliE1xpress Standard Shipping which is the best method. Return process only took a few days and waiting on refund atm.

      • True sometimes quick sometimes slow I purchased from one seller a product came in 12 business days same product sane seller 30 business days so just lucky really could be shipping problems or seller hasn't got it in stock and posts it later when he has.

My recommendation when buying anything from aliexpress is sorting by numbee of orders (doesnt work on phone app, only desktop website) and go through the reviews first before ordering.

I usually get most things with good reviews within 3 weeks sometimes even 2.

  • +2

    any recommended items?

    12 % discount = US$ 6 off US$ 50
    11 % discount = US$ 11 off US$ 100
    14 % discount = US$ 14 off US$ 100
    14 % discount = US$ 21 off US$ 150

    PS:
    AliExpress charge 10% GST too,
so factor that in, into your final purchase price.

    • yep

still a good discount if it stacks

but these codes are not going to Work right?

Weres the ali reps when you need them ?

You are lucky then. Do I need to be super user so as claim defective item not as described?

I purchased 4 sets (total $16) of powerpoint mountable cable management for google nest mini. The Australian standard plug of nest mini is larger than the hole of the item into which the plug should have to be inserted. The seller admited the error and corrected the listing. However, Aliexpress informed me that the item is still useable.

For the sake of $16, I had to upload photos. Then the photo was rejected and had to upload the video. Waste of time and money.

    • i tried ADMITADB6, works

      • as well as ADMITADB11 :)

  • +1

too bad codes arent listed on SB or CR.
come on CR ! SB !
my CC is ready to rock

    • Never been an issue for me. They advertise these coupons big time in the affiliate centre so Ali want to give people commission.

      • You mean we will get cashback as well? I have 2 items in my watch list, already checked they are affiliate

        • +1

          Yes it's extremely likely.

  • +1

Also note, if people ignored it like me, that this spending amount e.g. US$50, is excluding shipping price before the coupon can be applied

  • I've been getting message, "Sorry, we currently cannot process your order," last night and this morning. I have two items from stores. AliExpress applies both $100 codes, bit no luck checking out. I don't really want to split the order because I'll drop back to the $5 code. Annoying.

  • +1

    Order wasn't processed!
Oops! The system is busy, please try again

been like this for 30 mins

    • I got this message on my mobile and PC every time I tried to checkout for 2 days. My order only went through when I deleted one of the items for an identical one from another seller. Obviously doesn't work on all items.

  • I just tried all of the $6 codes and none of them are working now. Previously they did.

    • +1

OP did not write the expiry date = 16/7 today…it's in the original article/post

hope there're more codes to come, money ready! :P

  • Next Set of Big Codes ?

    • +1

      still waiting… :(
