Wow that website does your head in. The scrolling sucks.

Hay, this Donkey couldn't digest what its all about until I found this in one of the stable stalls.

Hay is the issuer of a reloadable Visa prepaid or debit card whereby users can load value onto the card to make payments wherever Visa prepaid and debit cards are accepted (Hay Card).
The Hay Card is linked to a digital account (which is not a bank account) which can be accessed via the Hay App (Hay Account).
As an Australian Financial Services Licence holder, Hay is required to hold client monies with approved Authorised Deposit-taking Institution.
Hay client monies are held with National Australia Bank Limited and Cuscal Limited for Direct Entry, NPP and BPAY settlement. Heritage Bank Limited hold client monies for Visa International Settlement purposes.
It is important for you to know that Hay is not a bank and our prepaid and debit cards are not protected under the financial claims scheme.

Now if someone can pitch in a comment to advise if Hay accepts fee free international DEPOSITS, Hey I would appreciate it.

  • 5% anytime you make a purchase of $10 of less

Seems like a lot of effort to get 20 cents back per cup of coffee, which OzBargainers don't buy anyway

Might be worth considering for the random $5 junk that we buy because it's discounted from $25, but honestly it still isn't very appealing

  • If only it was a permanent offer. Good for buying food from places that charge a fee for EFTPOS payments below $10.

    • Where can you buy a meal under$10 these days

      • Maccas? :P

        • Maccas is actually expensive. A tiny burger and medium meal is 10+

      • Spring rolls, curry puffs, samosas, potato cakes, dim sims…

These are the type of stores that typically apply a surcharge if EFTPOS transaction is below $10.

  • note for the referral link i think it will only work via mobile phone not desktop. it will be my go to card for july to get up to 7% . for larger purchases try split pay etc

  • anyone on android been able to update app to get v1 and do bpays etc yet? also i wonder would you get 5% back for bpays this month?

  • ref https://www.hellohay.co/download/Rewards_TCS_v1.0.pdf does anyone know if there is a limit on the cash back total you can get per month? btw theres no cash back via bpay, TBR are only earned via card payments
