If you've got a spare older android phone lying around (or you don't mind just using your current one), you can downcycle it into a much better webcam with DroidCam. The pro version is something like $15 - much cheaper than this, and it'll get you 1080p+ 60fps… I've used it with my OnePlus 8 Pro and the image is really really crispy.
You can also get a phone clamp with a lighting halo for pretty cheap from Amazon. Does double duty as a monitor light, a web cam phone holder… and in a pinch, bias lighting for the back of your monitor so you don't get eye strain.
That's the true OzBargain way; cheaper, better, smarter.

Depends what your use-case is, StreamCam does 1080p60 and has auto framing that keeps your face in frame as you move around.
You can also easily mount it in portrait mode. If you don't need those features hard to justify spending the extra I guess.
