Not as good as Rebel Sport's recent deal on the GBX-100, but still much cheaper than the usual $350 or more that it retails for.

I picked it up from Rebel during that promotion; a really nice fitness-oriented smartwatch that still manages to be a watch and not a wristphone, all the while maintaining a classic G-Shock Square aesthetic and being not too much larger/thicker than a DW-5600.

The MIP (Memory-in-Pixel) LCD dot matrix display is probably the biggest highlight; it's such an inter-generational leap in visual clarity and readability compared to all of the traditional LCD displays Casio watches had in the past, which if they were negative/inverted LCDs were next to worthless in anything other bright overhead lighting. This display combined with the huge font size used in timekeeping mode means you won't struggle to see the time in any lighting conditions. Thus far the only other Casio watches that utilise it are the: GBD-100, GBD-H1000 and GPR-B1000 Rangeman.

The strap is also extremely soft, flexible and comfortable; quite possibly the most comfortable strap on a Casio watch ever.

It's also compatible with Gadget Bridge; an open-source, Android app replacement for proprietary smartwatch apps, so you don't have to sign up with accounts and agree to all sorts of data-slurping terms and conditions.

The other good news for watch purists is that you don't have to use any of the "smart" functionality if you don't want to; you can leave the watch in flight mode forever and never bother with the app-enabled features and it'll still have a plethora of exercise-tracking functions available and be able to record a lot of data about steps, distances, times, intervals, daily/weekly/monthly logs, etc. Not to mention, all of the regular time-keeping, world time, moon/tide, sunrise/sunset functionality will work just fine without connecting to a smartphone.
