What were the issues if you don't mind me asking? I had a look and saw some sites mention that these may have only supported TKIP rather than AES? If so I'm guessing this has been fixed now?
I also read these can only be administered through an app, which seems less than ideal, but then again I guess it goes with the cheaper price!

The t&cs don’t say anything about purchasing from an official distributor or partner, just that it has to be purchased in Australia with an official tax receipt. Nevertheless I think Sydneymobiles is actually Mobileciti that’s listed as a distributor
Bought a set of 3 used Kogan version a few months ago for $40, works as described. no issues at all.
I have a set of 3 already and it works really well.
However, I needed to buy 1-2 more to extend the wifi on the other side of the house.Does anyone know if I can simply buy this and it will add on to my existing setup and extend the range further?

Nah the Asus RT-AC68U has more RAM, Gigabit ports and Merlin is much more customizable.
