Yes, another Dell deal, another Alienware deal…
Listen up naysayers, this mouse actually has some half decent reviews (4.5/5 on Dell Website from 900+ ratings / 7.2/10 on RTings / 4.7/5 on Bestbuy from 275 ratings) PCmag thought it was trash though but from reddit post comments people seem to rate it. Whilst the inflated RRP is never valid when it comes to Dell as it's always on sale every other month, this is the all time cheapest it's been and for $75~ you will struggle to find one with the same or better features. Specs:
16000 DPI Movement Resolution with up to 5 different on the fly DPI adjustment (light change for confirmation of DPI selection too)
7 Programmable buttons
Nylon braided cord (2m in length and a nice touch over plastic)
Up to 350 hours battery life on a single charge.
1000Hz polling rate
Customisable RGB
Custom adjustable scroll wheel with a wide toggle setting between 12 and 24 steps per scroll wheel revolution
117g weight (bit on the heavy side)
RTings score.
Competitors at similar price points:
Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed - No RGB (If anyone cares), Non-rechargeable (AA Battery) all else similar but also not ambidextrous. ($60 @ PCByte)
Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless - Non-rechargeable (AA Battery) and can't be used wired, 12000DPI and not as many programmable buttons ($68 @ Harvey Norman)
Steelseries Rival 3 Wireless - Non-rechargeable (AAA Battery) and can't be used wired, but 18000DPI sensor ($69 @ PCByte)
I have personally used an AW510M which has an identical shape albeit more buttons and not wireless. I now use a G Pro Wireless but never had any problems with the AW510M when I used it. Remember to use LOVEKEANU for the extra discount and unfortunately I don't think Cashrewards will track as it's 0% for accessories which this will probably come under. If it comes under Alienware it's only 1.5% right now. Instead, check out using Qantas store and you'll get points per dollar instead.
Happy Dealing!
I just want an rtings test (or similar).
Plenty of high dpi, high polling rate mice that have processing delay.
Specs check out amazingly; just need a professional tester to see if the firmware holds up.
