  • but how to connect it to raspberry pi?

  • +1

Alternatively, the TP-Link TX401 on the same chipset is 93$ after $10 discount on ebay from harris technology, should arrive faster.

  • This or a used enterprise 10gbe SFP+ adapter?

  • and my NBN is 100 Mbps on a good day.
    Sigh.

    • What kind of NBN do you have?

      • FTTC. Thanks.

Ok good news if you want faster than 100Mbps around November if you order a faster than 100Mbps plan you will get a FTTP upgrade for free. It’s yet to be determined how long you’ll have to be on the plan for though.

I would say this is more for LAN interconnects

      • Of course.
Good for streaming media or transferring files from your upstairs office PC (for example).
But likely you are looking to connect to other nodes or the internet in general, which at 100Mbps (WAN external to your LAN in my case) will restrict the benefit of the 10Gbps (your LAN).

    • My NBN can't even get 100 Mbps even in the best of days.

      • Couldn’t justify nbn expenses for 100 Mbps

        • Agree but have no choice where I live. Unless I pay capital charge for the fibre from street to house.
$3000 for approx 15 metres. Yeah nah.
