      • Hmm I must say I wasnt thrilled with the reviews either. I guess now I'll have to start looking for a similar 4 bay, hopefully with faster performance.

  • its sold out, still I can go to check out with the item using credit card, paypal etc.. total $640

  • Yappp got one. Guys this is the best bargain for 2012. Hopefully i get it soon. 4 X 2 TB HD it self worth $500

  • Clever marketing strategy:

    1. Advertise bargain, some OzB'er is sure to see it.
    2. Check that web server can hold up until limited stock is sold, then it can crash. :)
    3. Profit!
  • I don't know I just bought 1 now, eve after it says sold out, hopefully they will honour my transaction

    • me too… at least i added it to my cart and by the time i got to the payment confirmation page, it said sold out in the item description…

      • in your order info sent to your email.

        does it say

        Products

        1 x Online order Only!!,Seagate BlackArmor NAS400 NAS Storage Server ,4Bay , 2x Gigabit LAN, 4x USB, Raid 0/1/5/10/JBOD,4TB (4x 2TB Seagate HDD 5900 rpm) , * Max 1 per customer (Limited Stock !!! BlackArmor NAS400 8TB 4Bay) = $599.00

or does it say SOLD OUT!!

  • I almost bought this, but then I honestly looked at the numbers and don't I could really justify it in my circumstances. (Along with the $200 headphones and $100 of skins I bought this week!)

The price of drives are starting to drop. This drive in particular (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&c…) is now sitting at about $125 and I am sure you could find cheaper if you looked. I could have bought this and sold off the NAS but I am lazy and never would have gotten around to selling the NAS.

  • -1

not really that good for a serious nas imo,….

the transfer speeds are just too low,.. i would like something like a qnap or synology 4-6 bay, atlest they can push 100meg a second, thats what i want for my home. sure it costs around a grand but worth it imo.

  • God damn it I had classes all day! I really wanted one

  • Would have loved this :(. So need the space right now.

  • Mine is still being processed… Any ones been confirmed/shipped?

  • I just got an email (about 20 minutes ago) saying they are processing a refund as they are out of stock.

I did manage to get it ordered correctly on the day tho ;(

    • Yeah I just got mine too

      "Dear Customer,

Unfortunately we've reached our stock limit.
We will do a refund of your payment today.
      Thank you for your understanding.

      Kind Regards,

      Sales Team"

      • i also got that and i finished my order at 6 minutes passed 12

        • i got the same email and my paypal went thru at 1 minute past 12. Makes me doubt wether they had any in stock at all.

  • i got the same email today and I successfully bought my product before out of stock 12.02. Very smart way to advertise their website in OZbargin and become popular, never buying anything from them very bad and beware of http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au .
don’t think they even had any product to sell.

  • Maybe a bit of a stunt.

But I've bought from them before and it was a very good experience.

  • Might have bought from here in normal price but they should not put any customer with false AD and charge $$ and then refund with out of stock email :(

  • I got the 'Out of Stock' email - I had one in my cart, then the site crashed, then I did it again and it seemed to work.

Hopefully they are quick with the refund then

  • Have not received an out of stock email yet. Hopefully the order changes from processing to dispatched very soon!

I purchased this at 12:04 with paypal clearance on Sunday.

  • my order status has updated to shipped and provided tracking no.

  • Canceled my order

  • According to the ACCC website this stunt could be classed as "bait advertising".
    http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/815334

Has anyone followed up with ACCC regarding this deal ?

Reading the comments where this was sold out within a couple of minutes is a clear example of bait advertising.
