Agree…totally shifty AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
A Friend of mine went to something similar with her family…boy were they dissapointed.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, these photo deals always involve, at bare minimum, high pressure sales tactics to buy overpriced prints.
According to their website, prints start at $225 and range up to $2545 for seven framed prints.
There seems to be nothing whatsoever free in this deal….. other than the opportunity to waste a bit of your time….. Maybe get your hair and make up done for free perhaps?….

I see no t+c's on their website regarding any deposit…. no criteria for refund/non refund of any monies.
And 99.9% of these companies have a clause in the contract where they retain copyright to the digital files so forget having digital copies you can use elsewhere.
There is 0.1% who don't? Many of them still sell you the files of course, for hundreds of dollars but you do not have the rights to copy them still.
Use it to get jazzed up then walk out the door without doing the photoshoot?
Even if you lost $50… for professional ladies makeup, that could be cheap.
Perhaps leave all your money and credit card at home before you go?
They will sell you a finance plan.
and I would LOVE to see the T&Cs for that "refundable" deposit.
The "security deposit" on a "Free Deal" gives it away that you aren't going to walk out the door without it costing you something. Don't need to spend more time pointing out other concerns.

Our family had a "photo shoot" done once (with another company) but knew the deal upfront for all the photos first and no "pressure' upselling either.
Should perhaps also note that this is available only in NSW, Qld, and Vic….
So you're safe if you live somewhere else (from this particular case).
This type of rubbish should be reserved for Scoopon surely? The only good thing about this is it might push an iPhone App off the first page.

NOT a bargain, theses scams are as old as the hills. The other photos will be hundreds of dollars a print, replete with high-pressure tactics and absolutely no chance of an image file. So yeah, get a free portrait photo, as long as you drop a few hundred on another one. Great value! I don't know how anyone could live with themselves, working for outfits like these.
