If people are actually buying this, I recommend the type where the bottom surface has a big dip for the egg to sit in, + you can still slice your spam and other things.
My dad used to have one of these 20 years ago, and I remember the issues were that the metal wire 'blades' end up bending, they get wonky and can't cut smoothly, and they also stop being as sharp.

The only use case I can think for this is if you're going through a butt-tonne of spam (cooking for an event or gathering or commercial reasons), the few seconds saved & consistency probably helps with mass-processing of spam…
