May i suggest using a knife as a spam splicer instead?

    • +5

My thoughts exactly. Then you have to store the thing which takes up space

    • +28

Yeah, but can you cut precise thickness on every slice??? I thought not!

      • +19

For the individual who demands precision, but also spam

        • +2

The quality of spam is__ consistent, and such is how I would like my spam cut.

    • +13

          • +5

@blehgg: Actually she probably complained to her girlfriends about wasting $3.50.

          • @blehgg: her next words were "I cant afford that, please leave i'll stalk ozbargain now"

      • …and only $7.68 delivery.

    • +4

      You filthy troglodyte.

    • +1

splicer ? as in splice spam dna to a banana to get spam flavoured bananas ?

    • +1

also maybe useful for older people (usually the ones eating the spam) a little unsteady with their knife skills
and you dont want uneven slices in your spam spam spam spam egg chips and spam

    • +1

      That's not a knife, that's a spoon.

      • I see you've played spammy splicey before.

    • +1

You can even use butter knife, it is that easy

    • +1

pretty sure this product is primarily addressed to the hawaiian market

      • I said aloha to Spam a long time ago.

    • -1

may i suggest not eating spam instead? :)

  • +20

  • +3

    perfect for the inlaws

  • +16

Isn't a spam filter generally more effective?

    • +4

      I recommend the unsubscribe button

      • +1

        Thank for your valued feedback.
Do you want to unsubscribe from further emails?

[No] / [Yes, continue receiving spam]

How useless must peoples knife skills be to need this piece of trash?

    • +45

Wow, who pissed in your cereal?

      • +6

Hey, they told me the milk was asparagus flavour….

      • -3

Sorry, I forgot most of the people here will buy any sort of useless crap simply to be buying stuff.

        • So what? Whats your problem man?

          • -3

@nikoris: You're the one reflexively responding. Kinda like my point is all personal for you…

    • +5

Who uses a knife like a pansy when you can just tear food with your bare hands?

  • +1

I think you'll find it's pronounced bung fritz

    • +2

      You’re from SA?

      • No, but I was able to try what the inlaws assured me was the best bung fritz in SA on the drive up to Port Pirie. Couldn't tell you which butcher it was except it was before you get to Pirie….apparently it's closed now as the son didn't want to take over the business :'(

        • +2

You remind me of my inlaws raving about the best pasties in the world from a bakery on the way to Moonta, then I tried them and were average

          • +1

@Laziofogna: Hot Food tends to taste better when you've been on the road for days and you enter the first country town you see.

    • +1

      Heaps good!

    • +5

Spam and bung fritz are not even close to being the same thing.

      • +1

We got a live one boys!

        • +2

Clearly you're not a connoisseur of fine foods.

          • +1

@khrome: Nah I quite enjoyed bung fritz to be honest. Couldn't have it too often but it is much better than spam.

      • Is bung fritz a processed meat made from pig bungs?

        • If you're lucky.

  • +7

Lots of Amazon Reps posting deals on here need this.

  • +2

    Will this declutter my inbox?

  • +8

Just grab a spoon and eat it from the can.

    • +7

      That’s just nasty

      • +4

Fine. With vegemite and cheese in a toasty. Alternatively skip the spam and have peanut butter and cheese toasties…. also amazing. You'll understand if you try it.

        • +2

          PB and cheese???????

          • @[Deactivated]: Throw some sliced granny smith apple in there too, yum yum

            • +1

              @pseudonym303: Can’t tell if trolling…

              • @[Deactivated]: Its an American thing…….peanut butter with everythin. In fact chuck some Jam on as well and would be Americal paridise sandwich.

                • @Borg: I’ll try maybe the PB and cheese first. Don’t have jam in the household… no one uses it!

          • @[Deactivated]: Like many foods that sounds gross together it makes sense when you try it.

            • +1

@Clear: Okay, so tasty cheese and some Bega PB a good combo?

              • +2

@[Deactivated]: Yep thats the one. It was childhood school holiday food.

                • +2

@Clear: Thanks. Will try it for lunch this week.

        • Peanut butter and banana.

  • +26

Going to buy a bunch of these, jack up the price to $50, then sell them as "tofu slicers" to yuppies

    • +2

      Avocado slicer?

      • +2

        Or mouse trap.

    • You get more money from Hipsters

    • Haha. But seriously, I think if this works as tomato slicer, might be handy. Especially if you're having a burger party at yours.

    • Broden's got a new account?

  • +1

    Not compatible with gmail

  • +42

    Reported for spam

  • +3

If you cut spam thicker than 4mm you are a psychopath.

  • +1

    Yummo.

    • +1

      Pee time.

  • +3

Will this help with Optus spam calls ?

  • This is actually pretty useful if you sell spam musubi.

  • +3

Just use your unused plastic knives and chopsticks from the deliveroo/easi/menulog.

Break the chopsticks into smaller pieces to use as separators between the knives and then just glue them together. Ta-da!

If you don't want to spend money on the glue, use any leftover rubber bands from the deliveroo/easi/menulog.deliveries too. Just means that the chopsticks pieces will have to be longer so it doesn't snap or slip off.

    • +2

I think I need further instructions, do you have a drawing?

      • +1

I'll try using MS Paint later.

        • This sounds like it needs a 5-Minute Craft DIY video.

  • +5

Thank you, my kitchen is now complete

  • excellent, finally something safe to click through shopback first for :)

  • +2

Reminds me of Rick and Morty’s butter robot…😅

    • +1

      "What is my purpose?"

      "You cut spam."

      "Oh my god."

      "Welcome to the club, pal."

  • +4

Here I'm thinking that OP renamed the item as a joke…

    open Amazon listing

    …"Oh."

  • can this cut vegetables

    • +2

Not unless they're very soft. It's just wire doing the cutting.

  • +6

This is an egg slicer, lol

  • +1

Why do I feel like this is something I'd see this guy feature in his videos.

  • +1

Can I offer you a nice egg in this trying time?

  • +1

We live in a world without knives…

  • We use a peeler and it cuts the thinnest spam slices to fry.

  • Does this work on those annoying scam phone calls or does it just cut spam?

  • +1

It's wierd they chose to cut it into 11 slices.

    • Well….eating 12 slices would just be greedy.

  • +1

Spam should never be cut into fine, equal-sized pieces. Use your hands to rip them apart for a more rustic feel.

  • Haha this is too much
