    Good price for the C1.
Alternatively, JB Hifi has the GX 65" for $3288 as of today. Might be worth a look…

Only in random stores which dont offer delivery, i would have grabbed one otherwise

      • Ah yeah that'd be right.

        • Who wants to go on a road trip to Brisbane from Sydney?

          ~900km. 2 tanks of fuel.

  • +2

I noticed this today also, I was at JB on the weekend and they were happy to do 3580 including delivery but I really wanted to grab a CX which was advertised at $3000 but they only had the demo unit left (probably has a good 2000+ hours on it already) so that's a shame (apparently CX and C1 are incredibly similar).

    • Yeah, not much change between the CX and C1. G1 however is quite different to the GX because it has the newer Evo panel, putting it ahead of these particular four choices. Has been as low as 4045 so only about 400 more than the C1 price. Worth it I'd say.

      • The C1 has a newer remote, not that it matters but I have a C7 from 2017 and the CX has the same remote.

The GX out of the box is wall mount only. Think it doesn't come with a table top stand.

        • Yeah, you gotta buy stand separately for the GX.

          • @theory: They included a stand with my GX when I bought from good guys, not sure about other stores

        • +2

The GX out of the box is wall mount only. Think it doesn't come with a table top stand.

All reports with the exception of one person on Whirlpool is that the G1 is including the stand in the box.

          • +1

@snuke: Well i got my g1 stand with my tv. When they delivered it, it came in a seperate box. On the main box it said sold separately

            • @Junnyjun: It’s because in all (most?) countries internationally it’s not included, but apparently LG Australia decided to included a basic stand. That’s what my contacts at LG said anyway.

      • Most C1s have the newer panel too but its limited its brightness with the firmware. People have gone into the service menu and freed it up but wouldn't recommend doing that.

    • c1 has game optimizer which allows you to control black level to me thats enough to spend the extra dolaridoos also software is way cleaner

  • +3

    Am i right in saying CX = 2020 and C1 = 2021?

    • +6

      That’s correct.. CX (C10) , C1 (C2021)

      • Pretty bad naming convention. Either 10,11,12 or X, XI, XII etc

        • +1

Pretty bad naming convention. Either 10,11,12 or X, XI, XII etc

Well from memory the LG OLED's started being a thing around the 2015 or 2016 (?) the first one I remember is the C6, but there may have been earlier models?
So the convention only allows for one character for the year eg 7, 8, 9, X, 1, 2 etc. I think X is better than using 0 as it gets confused with O, however they are running out of runway once they get back to 5 or 6 again.

    • Correct

  • I got the c155 for 2690 from jb

    $3560 at Appliance Central

Looks like everyone simultaneously dropped their prices today, as I was checking last few days and it was at $3770 Appliance Central and $3790 at VideoPro for example.

If I was to wager, I’d say that TGG Commercial price of $3604 which has held since beginning of June was the realistic starting RRP ceiling.

    • They have increased it t $3,580, so the same s Video Pro.

  • Edit T&C not inclusive to all.

I previously purchased the CX 65" and its just visually stunning, I have been collecting 4k blurays and the colours and contrast is just beautiful.

The inbuilt speakers sound very good, I'm not fussy with audio but the general consensus is that it can be enjoyed without a sound bar, but one is always a good upgrade

I'm not a fan that LG wants to push advertisements through the menu, and connectivity with Google Home is shit (forces through LG ThinQ service)

Overall the quality and features you get at the price are high on the diminishing returns scale, but it an amazing tv and I don't regret it

    • +2

Just curious since you have it — I’m hoping to use the AppleTV4K (2021) with HomePods to augment the TV sound which operate as a ‘centre’ speaker.. if you’re familiar with this, do you know if that is a possibility?

  • I got Harvey to price match on Saturday to appliance Central at $3770 3 days later its nearly $175 cheaper 🤬 phenomenal TV though avengers end game in 4k is just unreal and xbox series x playing resident evil Village is amazing

    • I believe they do a 7 days price guarantee, so you should get that back.

    • How far away from the 65” are you sitting? I’m stuck behind the cheaper-and-should-feel-great-anyhow 55”

      • +1

I'm sitting about 2.5-3 metres away and I ran best settings on google and it came up with a reddit page changed my settings to what they recommended and the colours looks real life and so textual, blacks look black and can see how bad some peoples skin is on TV shows, best purchase I ever made with this TV thanks to my misses feeling generous that day 😂

  • these OLED LG's are the epitomy of picture quality

    • +4

This tells me you've never used a Nintendo Virtual Boy.

  • Oh man, I was looking at the 77" C1 in Goodguys yesterday, so damn nice but I can't justify the huge price jump for a few more inches.

    • +1

      It’s not just a ‘few’ inches, it’s 12 inches, 1 foot.

      • Yes I know that, and I know the area is larger, etc. But it's literally double the price of the 65" for 40% more screen, still doesn't seem justifiable at it's current price. I'll hang onto my 65" C7 till 77" prices drop, which hopefully they will now there's an 83" C1 option.

        • +1

C1 65 best price is 3560. 77 is 6850 (Appliance Central). Not double the price.

Edit: Negative vote for trying to help. Thanks!

          • @theory: C1 65 best is actually $3,451.20 with Bing lee and Cash Rewards 4% cash back.
Your point still stand though, the 77" most definitely not "literally double the price of the 65""

Have an upvote to cancel the unwarranted butt hurt neg you received.

            • @snuke: Before Cash Rewards, Bing Lee is 3595 and Appliance Central is 3560. But good point for those that use CR.

              • @theory: AC bumped their pricing up this morning to $3,580 to just be even with Video Pro.

                • @snuke: Back to 3560.

                  • @theory: Video Pro now $3,520, let's hope they just keep on going down and down…….

            • @snuke: Add ENTER30 for a tiny bit more?

              • @WetWaffle: "Warning: Coupon is either invalid, expired or reached it's usage limit!"

          • @theory: Bing Lee have the C1 77" for $6,995. 3.5% on CashRewards will bring that down to approx. $6,775 by my calculations. They also seem to have less egregious shipping compared to Appliances Online (also free for some areas).

      • love this website :D

  • Looks like JB and Good guys have matched the Bing Lee price now:

Wonder if we can press them down in store now!

Copy of post I made in this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/631156?page=1#comment

At The Good Guys, I got the 65" C1 + shipping + wall bracket worth $99 for $3354.

TV was $3250 in the receipt

Originally, I was going to buy the eBay Plus promo $3415 + $55 shipping ($3470) using 3x $500 eBay giftcards with 4% off and the rest cash - Total of $3410 (3415 + 55 [shipping] - 60 [gc discount]).

But my dad (who was footing 50% of the bill) told me to wait till he can go in-store and try to get some more off. He went to The Good Guys hoppers crossing with the $3410 I quoted to him from eBay TGG and got them to give the tv + shipping + wall bracket for $3404.

I had all the money in my bank acc ready to go, but I was at work so I got them to email me the deal over the phone.
Using online payment I used 2x $500 gc with 5% discount (the online store has 2x gc limit, in-store idk what the limit is, you can probably use more).

    So 65" C1 + $55 shipping + $99 wall bracket for $3404 - $50 (gc discount) = $3354

Thanks, I used this to get one for $3250 at TGG this morning.

    • +1

Thanks Keiss, ‘cause of this I got it for $3k flat

      • How did you drop it down to $3k flat?

  • I walked in to HN on Saturday afternoon and managed to get the 65" C1 for $3250 inc delivery with barely any effort. Got delivered yesterday (Sunday) at 10am on the dot. Happy days!

    • How did you get the free delivery ? By just quoting the 3250 receipt?

      • +2

Nah I didn't even show or mention the receipt. At first he said the best he could do was $3450 so I told him I'd go see what JB had to say. He then asked me what number I had in mind so I said $3250. He thought about it for a whole 2 seconds and said deal.
