Agree with this, I'm surprised how often I use mine. It's a very convenient unit for a pretty good price point.
+1
Didn't think I'd use it much, but after setting it up and having it around I find myself using it so much.
- What is the temp?
- Will it rain today?
- How long does it take to go from x to y?
- Is x store open today?
- What is the phone number for x?
- Turn the TV off
- Turn the volume down
- Turn the light down to 1%So many more. Would love to hear some more commands people use.
all those can be done with google mini without screen?
yea but having the visual feedback helps in knowing what is happening and also giving a little more info when considering route/weather/temp forecast and other relevant data.
Other things like the clock/photos and timer function comes in handy with the display.
For the price its well worth it.Will consume less electricity too.
do you know when/where it was $99?
It was a special at a few retailers late last year, I picked it up from The Good Guys. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ozbargain.com.au/node/56129…
First generation vs second generation.
@jimojr: Yes but was current gen when it was on sale, with the same RRP. This is a good deal. I have no regrets buying one (I was lucky enough to score the Google Nest Hub Max from The Good Guys with a price error for $129 each, was able to get 2)
This is the newer version with sleep tracking it seems
Sleep tracking that will be charged for next year as part of FitBits Premium subscription package.

These are decent, I have one in my office, although they have been as cheap as $99 no strings attached, still not a bad deal.
