I think he means USB type-a port being pre-2020 and type-c becoming the new defacto standard.
Or possibly wireless charging?
I personally can't wait until everything is just type-c, less headaches.
But regardless, even a type-a port is useful so long as it's 2.1amp or higher.

This smart power board from Bunnings is a better buy at $39.99 , and it has one USB A and one USB C, also each socket can be individually controlled.

Heard good comments about the powerboard from bunnings. But it doesn’t have HomeKit support.
Anyone knows if it’s a straight or side entry plug?
