The only thing I ever use these for is for the one thing they expressly warn to not use them for.

Do not put these in ears

      Try to stop me

Must be an English teacher too since you didn’t say “Try AND stop me” 👍

I could of cared less about this comment.

      • I’ve got the cotton dislodged in my ear canal twice using these. True story.

I have since stopped using this brand’s cotton buds for ear cleaning purposes.

You should stop using any brands of these for your ears

    • Do not put anything in ears, even sound in excessive amounts is dangerous.

ALDI about $2.50 for 400 and they are good.

    • is it seasonal item or i can find it on the shelf. thinking of getting it from aldi?

      • On the shelf at mine. They replaced the old plastic box version recently.

        • +1

Thanks for the info, might get one when I visit Aldi next time

        • They also changed to paper stems. I liked the plastic box, I am using one to store my USB sticks.

  • These look like they have plastic stems which are hard to find actually, everything in Coles and Woolworths has bamboo and their useless and bend constantly

    • +2

      Those plastic stems pollute oceans

      • -2

I don't drive to the ocean to throw them in.

Edit: Reducing our use of one-time use plastic is obviously an environmental good, but thinking we are saving the ocean with this is naive.

Your “other people aren’t helping, so I won’t either” is idiotic. It’s the same mentality that people dumping rubbish into those rivers that you’ve linked have.

          • @Devils Advocate: I never said I don't help. I have littered literally once in my life. My comment was around idiots who do think that minor stuff like this will make a lot of difference. We should be helping to establish recycling facilities in countries to disrupt the flow of plastic. Every bit counts, including the big bits.

        • Interesting article. I wonder how much comes from Australian rivers?
I guess the hope is that by forcing a change away from plastics we hope that China, etc will stop using plastic for their local production too.

    • I think all the packs I have purchased before have paper sticks.

    • No, they have paper stems

Stop making people in Amazon warehouses pack an order for cotton buds, cause you can't be bothered going to your local chemist and paying 60 cents more.

    • But… Bargain!

    • Isn't that how people get employed to feed their families?
If you prefer going to Chemist, do not forget to walk or use pushbike, looks after environment.

  • Any use for this apart from cleaning belly buttons?

  • Thanks OP i bought 2

  • +1

The local governments are banning plastic sticks an single use coffee cups

    • That is true

    • Not just local - state. WA just announced a ban on a wide range of single use plastics yesterday.

  • +1

These have paper stems, which bend easily, but plastic ones are getting banned soon so you may as well get used to paper.

  • +2

Might be worth adding other baby products like lotion, oil, conditioner etc that are down as well 🙂

  • Gotta be better than the ALDI versions, their horrible!

  • Quality is pretty bad on this one. It breaks all the time

  • +1

use them but be gentle, dont put it too deep, just like your mom likes it

  • +1

All I want to know is which one of the Johnson's came up with this product?

    • Bud.

  • is it me or for those who got the item the seal is broken and seller just filled it up with shit quality buds? is so fake
