Recently purchased a F&P washing machine from Retravision; their price was competitive, then on sale @12% off, and the RAC's 5% helped pay for delivery and installation. V.happy.
Sounds good. I might be in the market for a new washer myself. Was planning on looking at AO first but will give Retravision a look too.
I attribute my 'success' to friendly staff in the (Osborne Park) store; so may all depend on your luck!
Anyone know or ever tried if their price match policy can be used, then stacked with the RAC discount?
Yes, they have been willing to price-match (not do anything better) but said the 5% RAC discount wouldn't be possible.
Thanks. That's a shame (about price-match), especially as online it states:
"At Retravision, we’re not happy offering just an appliance price match. Instead, we offer all our customers a Lowest Price Guarantee*, which means if you can find a competitor's* lower advertised price on the same stocked item, we’ll beat it!"
Testing my memory a bit now! They might have beaten it by $1 or $5. But I do recall that the RAC discount couldn't be applied to a negotiated price.
For a lot of companies, that doesn't mean they'll beat it by a set %, they just beat it by 1c.
There are exceptions of course, think Officeworks/Bunnings etc.

I just want to clarify from the RetraVision side.
We will price-match according to our Price Guarentee - (https://www.retravision.com.au/lowest-price-guarantee) the competitors listed in the T&C's (Click on the Terms and Conditions Drop down) of our Price Guarantee. For the RAC members, the RAC discount (if an applicable product/brand) will be applied off that discounted price. If you've made a purchase in the past and this hasn't been the case then we'd love to know about it because we'd need to fix that.
And… if you're worried about it being advertised (Website, Catelogue etc.) cheaper at one of those competitors within the next 60 days, then you always have our 60 day price promise to fall back on - https://www.retravision.com.au/60-day-price-promise

Well this is interesting. Because twice I've been told that the RAC discount couldn't be applied to the price-matched price! With the availability of cashbacks and discounted gift-cards etc elsewhere, I ended up going back to my original retailer, but it would have been a whole lot easier if I could have received the RAC benefit and supported a local business. Will try it again next time (Osborne Park).
Thanks Charlie (sorry for the delayed response), I'll have a chat with the store in question. Sounds like we might need to do a bit of work on making sure our message is clear and consistent. As for Cashbacks/Gift-Cards etc. it can be hard to price-match, as often Cashbacks/Gift Card terms vary between retailers and can be a very different offer (expiry timeframes, eligibility criteria etc.), either way we will always try and do our best to get you a better deal. -W

Just to be clear, I was not asking/expecting you to match a price after cashbacks/GCs are factored in, but given that those are also ~5% (ie. equivalent to the RAC benefit), they produce effectively the same overall discount. However, simply flashing my RAC card at Retravision on top of a price-matched price is a lot easier to do!!

My experience over the past couple of years is that their starting prices are usually a fair bit above their main competitors. And their range is sometimes lacking. Definitely shop around!
