  • I got some for free before (promotional gift from somewhere).

Never actually understood how they're meant to be used - maybe you could enlighten me (and probably many others)?

    • It's a plastic wrap alternative.

We mostly use ours as a cucumber seal, but also to wrap slices of cake and other fresh treats when transporting to work.

      • If you wash these somewhat often, won't the wax be lost fairly quickly?

Can't speak for the Woolies ones but the ones my wife bought seem to be holding up alright. I just dip them in the dish water and rub them a bit with the glove then hang it over the top of the other dishes to dry. They never get too dirty.

Haha sure. My 4x most popular uses:

Instead of glad wrap, use these to
      - cover the top of a started big block of hard cheese
      - covering the top of single serve bowls before refrigerating
      - Covering larger salad/food bowls to put in the fridge.
      - Cover opened veggies/fruit, e.g. half-cucumbers, pineapples etc.

Quick wipe clean with detergent, chux and warm water (not hot). So if I'm putting it over a bowl of e.g. curry & rice, I'll put curry In first so it's easier to clean.

I hang over any washing up, on the edge of a dish etc then fold to store.

  • Showing as $16 for 3 pack at 2280.

    • Show them the pic & ask for a price match - does woolies do that? Or are you looking online? Online ones are a different brand, I believe.

      • Online

  • Good price if you can get it from your local woolies..

  • Great price OP! And great timing too as just working on this week's grocery shop list & have added this item.

I've not seen beeswax wraps in Woolies previously - a different brand is available online

Woo hoo! Hope you manage to get some :) yeah sad not online :(

      • Which aisle did you find the wraps? Trying to narrow down where to look at my local tomorrow

        • +1

I found it at the end of the last aisle - closest to the freezer section. It may also be near the cling wrap (either high or low on the shelves), although I didn't check my local for this location.

          • @Embaloo: Thanks. What other items were located near it? I think any request for assistance from staff and they'll look puzzled & then point to the honey section 😉

@[Deactivated]: Just other clearance items. Hopefully if they see the pic they might know what they are

  • I love the idea of these, but I've never managed to get it to work. It just doesn't "cling" to anything, it just wants to unfold. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but so far it's pretty useless. Can anyone help?

    • I find the warmth of my hands, held there for say 2-3 seconds each fold (over the edge of something), enables it to stick well. The hand warmth softens the wax just enough to cling to things. What are you trying to stick it to?
