thanks mate, can we play bluray 4k on PC ?
Good deal for Cosmos: A Personal Voyage Utimate Edition at $25.26 (Normal price 37.98)
You can play UHD on a PC. You just need an optical drive that supports Ultra HD. Such as the internal LG WH16NS60, Pioneer BDR-212DBK or Asus BW-16D1HT PRO or external USB drive to read the disks, Java Runtime installed and software that supports HEVC playback such as the excellent Kodi v19.1. Which supports all UHD and Blu-ray with full menu support.
I thought it was a more complex than that. A CPU with Intel SGX support and integrated GPU is also required: https://www.lg.com/us/burners-drives/lg-WH16NS60
Thanks guys. I will look into and I ordered a UHD+HD bundle to test it. I have a very old (from 2015 ?) drive which is LG BD-RE WH14NS40 v1.00 which supports upto 128 GB BDXL. Currently, I can watch normal Bluray without any issues (CPU = i5-2400, GPU = GTX1060 3GB). I think I had to install JRE to make the menus work. I forgot that I have an original Xbox one but I am not sure whether it will support UHD disc either.
Got the 4K disc and it plays well in my ancient PC, but I only have a FHD monitor:D
Vinyl ever go on sale?
