I don't think it's how it works… This thing itself is some insulation. Ie. it's a thin piece of fabric, without extra materials, but when pumped, it does insulate.
Yes, but hiking mattresses that are labelled and marketed as insulated specifically have added insulation inside. An air mattress labelled as uninsulated will not have any additional insulation, and would usually have an R value around 1.0 give or take - they're for warm weather and offer very little insulation.

The listing has a cross section view which shows no insulation layer, no reflective layer and no baffles to restrict air movement.
Yep so no insulation refers to no added insulation. Not whether a basic air cushion provides an air gap and some base level of insulation.
