just be aware:
Random Write 4k (Aligned): 2,500 IOPS (compare to a m4 which is 25,000 IOPS)
which is the most important feature for a ssd.
i would rather people buying a proper ssd than this model, in fact, this unit's price is refecting the true performance.
How is write speed the most important feature?
Barely ever write to my SSD, The read speeds are what you need to look at.
Your both wrong!!! Reliability is the most important feature.
I've bought two of these drives, both have failed resulting in loss of data. OCZ are notorious for failure rates. Their published hardware failure rate is ~10%, and that doesn't include the chipset/firmware failing which would be categorised as a software failure.
I'd advise to stick well away and chose a more reliable, reputable brand. It's worth it in the long run to save all the hassle and running around.
It's really not that bad as most people would think.

Benchmarks show you get what you pay for, it's above the other budget SSD (Kingston SSD Now V).
that review is more than 1 year old which is a looooong time in SSD world, also who buys Kingston SSD Now??
:)
Just cause it's old doesn't mean it has no significance lol, you can still determine the performance relative to other SSD's. People on a budget maybe? At that price its in the same price range as it so you may as well compare it to other similarly priced SSD's and the only other one at that price range is that Patriot Torqx 2 and from what I remember performs a bit worse than this. There's no point in comparing this SSD to a Crucial M4 or other.
The thing says its an online exclusive, does that mean the price instore is different? Otherwise its $8.25 shipping for Vic metro
anyone had experience in putting ssd in raid 0 (for instance 2x 128) and is there a big performance bump in doing so? essentially is it worth doing?
You will lose the trim function if you raid them which may decrease their life, but other than that, yes you will get a nice performance bump
They also have the OCZ Vertex 3 60Gb for $109. Just ordered one for my wifes system drive, hopefully it will stop her complaining about boot up times.
Hi OP, can this drive be used with SATA I laptop? I have got HP DV9218TX.
Nice price, bear in mind this is Sata 2 and is also a discontinued product (EOL)?
