Of course Camel didn't pick up my buy of $78 during the Afterpay Ebay sale .

What was the price before the afterpay discount?

PSA for people who hate using the Lego Control+ app for RC sets: there's a custom smartphone app called BrickController 2 (Android & iOS compatible) that allows you to control the newer generation of Powered Up/Control+ Lego sets as well as the older infrared-based Power Functions sets, using Android-compatible gamepads (including PS4 and Xbox controllers).

Check out the demo here and a longer tutorial on how to get it working here.

    • Can confirm, makes this set far more enjoyable using a PS4 controller to control it rather than the pretty ordinary Lego Control+ app.

    • A very neat little app.

It's a bit fiddly to set up initially, but definitely more fun using a PS4 controller than the app provided by Lego.

Anyone know how to connect classic lego pieces to this? Always wanted to remote control my own lego creation

    • The BrickController 2 app that Gnostikos linked to above allows you to build your Lego MOC and theoretically you could have 4 different Powered Up Hubs all controlled off a single Playstation controller.
In the video, they're able to control the Liebherr (which has two smart hubs I believe) with a SteelSeries Nimbus.

  • Pretty good “toy” for inside play, sucks outside.
